Having stayed at this hotel in the past, returning in October 2012,found the hotel facilities excellent but also found many changes to the surrounding area and in my opinion, Danga Bay is now very run down. A nearby shooping outlet has been demolished and the theme park is attracting less tourists, with the opening of Lego Land. Completion of the road network and flyovers now make taxi rides even longer, as they are required to travel a distance before doing a "U" turn to head to any of the shopping malls. There is a bus stop near the hotel but it is northbound and I would not risk crossing a main highway to get a bus heading to JB City, if there was a stop available. There is generally only 1 bus service to Singapore, except on weekends, if the demand warrants an additional bus. Our 1st trip took 3 Hrs to arrive at Sentosa, with traffic congestion and the double border crossing, especially on a weekday. Having a car is an added bonus in getting around , for Malaysian's that is. Other than 7-11, there a some reasonable food outlets but mainly cater for nearby office staff on weekdays. Very limited on weekends.
