I was disappointed with this hotel. We stayed at this hotel on two occasions as part of an organized tour.
The location and overall design of the hotel built out over an inlet was stunning. It was exciting to see the mud hoppers and crabs in the silt under the piles supporting part of the hotel. . The food was excellent.
However when we arrived there was a problem with the booking despite the fact that the evidence was produced.
The twin room that we where given the first time round consisted of a cramped room with a single bed (six inches from bathroom door) and mezzanine floor with mattress on the floor.
Then the lights went out! There hotel was on the mains electricity but on the two occasions we had none from about 7.00 - 11.0 in the evening. The hotel had a very limited number of candles. Apart from every thing else, this meant that sorting our luggage to bring a day bag for a plane journey the next part of the journey in a different climate zone was problematic. It was important that we had brought torches.
When we returned we were given a large pleasant room with two beds. We however, had the same experience of no electricity in the evening. A few more candles were found this time but... We may have been unlucky but every where else we did have electricity from either mains or generators in the evening.
