“Very Poor Hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

My wife and I stayed in the hotel from 29/08/2012 till 7/09/2012
I have several complains about this hotel.
1) The money exchange from € into LBP is very difficult and you get a bad rate (vast rate of the hotel)
2) You don't find any information about Byblos by reception or in the room.
3) Breakfast is very poor : no or cold coffee and what is up is not filled by.
4) Laundry service : normal in 24 ours, by us it toke 56 ours and there was missing a t-shirt. The reception said it was burn or lost in the laundry. One thing we have buy another one that was payed by the hotel and we did not have to pay for the laundry.
5) The Room : nothing on the floor (alone 2 dirty bed carpets)
6) Missing in the room : hair dryer and bed slippers (we had them after 5 days)
7) The toilet seat was broken when we arrived, the seat was take off after two days, but they never fix it again.
8) The hotel say on there website that the hotel has 3 stars with a 5 stars service.
I say = a 2 star hotel with a very bad service.

Room Tip: Rooms are situated on a very noisy street. The old town is about 15 minutes walk, but to turn back...

I stayed here for 2 nights while on vacation in Lebanon this summer and, overall, was very happy with the stay. The rooms are large, clean, and modern, and the location of the hotel is excellent - walking distance to the souk, waterfront, and even Edde Sands. The free wifi was fast by Lebanon standards and the free breakfast was acceptable. This hotel was a good value, I recommend this hotel, and would stay here again if I was in Byblos.

We stayed there for one night on my husband's birthday.
The hotel is modern with very beautiful furniture and decoration.
It's very clean, big rooms with very nice toilets and rain-showers.
Bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Rooms are same as in the pictures.
Location is great. It's a 5 minutes walk from the old souk, restaurants and pubs.
Breakfast was good, and there was 2 types of croissants, eggs and fruits. Maybe they took into consideration the last review.
The only bad thing was that the breakfast was self service. You have to clean a table by yourself, fill the kettle with water so you get hot water, also by yourself. There was no one to clean the tables and keep an eye on what's missing in the buffet to refill it.

I've been there last year. the view was too bad and there was a lot of noise. it's clean and the internet was too fast, but the restaurant is small and the food was terrible. i think it doesn't deserve the value of money

My husband & I stayed for 2 nights in Monoberge Hotel Byblos for our third anniversary. The hotel is lovely and brand new exactly like in the photos. The room is very clean, comfortable and spacious with a nice red decoration. The bathroom is quite big with a large shower. There are 2 kinds of rooms: executive rooms with a balcony and view on the highway and suites with a back view of some old buildings and a small portion of the sea. The view doesn't really make a difference since the hot weather will oblige you to close the doors and enjoy the Air conditioner. It isn't that nice sea view since the hotel is not very close to the sea so don't bother paying a few extra more. As for the breakfast, it's delicious however it's not that various: you only find few small croissants with only 1 kind, no eggs, no desserts, no fruits, 1 kind of cheese, ham, yaourt and the traditional lebanese manouche bouchées. The hotel is closely situated to the old byblos souk. So by just walking 5 minutes, you arrive to the central crowded location with all monuments, pubs and restaurants. Overall it was a lovely stay and we would definitely come back.

This hotel has comfortable modern rooms. The staff was welcoming and professional. It's a short walk to the old part of town and it's close to nice restaurants. The reception does great italian coffee!

Gets the job done with some style. Right off the highway, short walk to the ruins and souks. Brand new, great rooms, not sure it will wear very well...
