“excellent service in a poor hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

just came back from a five nights stay at wakim hotel, the staff of the hotel are very friendly and offered an excellent service, however the hotel building is very old and the rooms has a poor furniture quality,
and the bathroom is very small and looks ugly.

i was not impressed at all and would not recommend it to couples.

Room Tip: our room number was 501 which said to be has the best view, however the room itself is poor, the bed...

This place is PERFECT! Prices are the best in all of Lebanon. The staff is amazing- they treat you like family. My travels are leisure and feel as if i am at home. The view of the country is breathtaking. The terrace is large enough to have a nice dinner for two or a party of 15. Very clean and comfortable. No concerns at all,and I am hard to please. Coming from the United States, having stayed in many hotels, I recommend Hotel Ricky Wakim to anyone traveling to Lebanon. It's like having your home with you in your suitcase and when you walk in- you take a deep breath like you just got

Clean rooms, very welcoming & helpful staff. We stayed 3 days, we are a family with two children , the rooms & furniture are comfortable, and it is really very cost efficient . The view from the balcony is really awesome, during our stay the only problem was that some channels on TV have no or bad signals..
The location is very easy to reach as it is on the main road in Beit Mery. Well let me say that I will stay in it another time when I visit the Area of Broumana.

A warm welcome awaited us when we checked in, and our room (apartment) was nicely appointed with a bedroom, a living room with TV, a small kitchen and a separate bathroom. All the conveniences were there - like a home from home - including WiFi. Easy access for the mountains and for Beirut (as long as you drive) and local amenities are also good. Would also recommend the Buffalo Steak House in the main town - very nice food. Good air conditioning and heating in the apartment - it gets cold at night in the winter.

Room Tip: Had a great view across the mountains from our room on the 3rd floor. Great watching the fireworks o...

The Hakim is a very charming hotel with its high ceilings, asymmetrical rooms and amazing view of Beirut to one side the mountains to the other. The staff is probably the kindest and most helpful you will ever meet. Beit Mery itself represents all the good things in Lebanon. All in all the perfect place for a weekend-getaway.

Thank you for a lovely time ;0) Hope to see you again

A Home away from home, so much so that I caught myself saying "I am going home" when referring to hotel Wakim. A boutique hotel with a five start hotel service with all that it entails: staff professionalism, responsiveness, cleanliness, and a "can do it all for you attitude". The staff is kind, personable and most of all caring. Everyone from the front to the back of the house was unique in wonderful personality.
Clearly there is a sense of "family" that transcends to hotel guests where one feel truly cared for.
I spend over 150 days a year in hotels all over the globe and I can say today that Hotel Wakim is the only one I look forward to going back to!
Thinking about my stay at Hotel Wakim puts a smile on my face!
Thank you for 3 wonderful weeks!
