I live in Tokyo and have been going to this restaurant since 2006 every year.
By far the best Okinawa restaurant in all of Japan and I have been to many. This is the only restaurant I go to when I'm in Okinawa so always have my lunch and dinner there. Same high quality and service since 2006.
As most people know Japan has the overall highest life expectancy. In Japan people in Okinawa tend to live the longest. This is attributable to the Okinawan diet which is healthier than mainland Japan. The food here is not only healthy but whatever you order will not disappoint.
For example all the noodles here are made from ukon (turmeric in Japanese) which is unique even in Okinawa. The curry is also a favorite and tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) will beat any restaurant in Japan. The pork they use in all their dishes including the noodles is the best. Especially Soki Soba. I even asked the owner/chef what special treatment is given to the pigs and he just smiled. The restaurant that most Japanese tourist go to from the mainland cannot beat this restaurant especially given the high price they charge.
Once you come to this restaurant you will never go to another Okinawa restaurant. Attached is the website and the owner/chef and his wife always makes us feel like part of their family. Unfortunately they don't speak English so suggest to print out couple of photos of the food on their website which you may be interested in. As you can see the restaurant is quite old (about 30 years) but that's another attraction.
