We snorkeled here on three different tides: high, mid and low. It was a revelation each time with a great variety of small fish just meters from the beach. Further out there is some good coral too -- although it's bleached and dead further in. The visibility is excellent. The Japanese people cover up well in rashie's, tights, hoods and even gloves to snorkel here and I think it's a great idea, especially as you can easily stay in the sun too long or get too close to the coral in the shallow water. At low tide we made our way through a narrow channel to a deep hole near the inner edge of the reef. It was filled with small to medium fish and was like being in a big tropical tank.
