“3 minutes to Subway”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

This is a typical Japanese business hotel, it is no better or worse than any other typical Japanese business hotel. Rooms are very small,(walking room only) in average condition, boring, bathrooms tiny and breakfast area Spartan. Everything from the lobby area to the hallways to the entry scream business hotel and mediocrity. Everything is crowded and unattractive. Having said this, the breakfast buffet was varied and catered to western and Japanese tastes and the coffee machine was excellent.
The price is right, the subway schedule frequency and proximity (3 minutes walk) excellent and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. By the way if you are a Choice Hotel Preferred guest, you won't earn any points here. Apparently this hotel does not participate, which may steer you to a different hotel in the same price range elsewhere...

Good location, only a couple of minutes walk from the train station and easy to find, good access into Yokohama & China Town, but also good access back into Tokyo. Clean room and friendly staff. Great value for money.

Having stayed at Comfort Hotels in Sapporo, Narita and Hakodate, I expected and had an excellent stay. The highlight is the free breakfast, with a wide variety of delicious choices.
The room was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient. The location is within easy walking distance of the Kannai train station. This hotel is very near Chinatown and the Yokohama Bay Stars baseball stadium, and not too far from the Landmark Tower, Cosmo World or the Red Brick Warehouse. You can't go wrong here.

The title pretty much says it all. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Excellent central location. Room was a small and a bit utilitarian, but spotless. Bed was very comfortabe.

Best part was the breakfast bar in the morning!

Would definitely recommend for solo traveller.

The Comfort Hotel in Yokohama is in the middle of the tourist area. It is walking distance from China Town which is the largest in Japan. It is great fun walking around the shops and hundreds of Chinese restaurants, and having such a choice of excellent Chinese food. It is also in walking distance from the Minato Mirai complex and the dockland area, which has great shops and restaurant and is surrounded by parks and gardens with brilliant displays of flowers. We stayed at Comfort Hotels where we could in Japan as we found they were excellent value. While the rooms are tiny (as are most rooms in Japan), they are immaculate, with compact bathroom and all the useful items like TV, hair dryer, and bathroom accessories. The windows open, which I found important as we were there in a very cold April/May and the heating in most places is stiffling. What gives these hotels an added advantage is that quite a comprehensive breakfast is included in the price, free computer in the lobby, there are washing machines and drying facilities.

Nice room, large bed, wide desk, internet, washlet (shower) toilet, GREAT breakfast, toothbrush, slippers, comb, shaver, shower/Japanese (deep) bath, clothes line in bath for hanging washed items, clothes rack for hanging washed items, openable window, control heat OR AC depending on the season, non-key, convenient location. About 3 minutes from the station and 10-15 minutes walking to the bay. LOTS of great shops along the way.

Breakfast is buffet style: SALAD, cereal/cornflakes, MISO soup, Milk, Orange/Apple juice (100%), Fresh Ground Coffee (Mmmm available 24 h), 7 types of ONIGIRI (rice balls), 10 or more types of breads/sweetrolls, yogurt, fresh fruit (banana, mikan/tangerine), boiled eggs, jams, lots of things that I can't remember-- great value!!!!
Internet is WIRELESS-- however, ask at the front and you can also borrow a device to allow a wire connection-- probably needs a refundable deposit.
ALSO, you may rent a computer for 500 yen/day OR use the one in the lobby FREE.

SAFE, SECURE, VERY CLEAN, HOTEL!!! Both female and male single or mixed groups stay here including foreigners.

DOUBLE=SIZED BEDS. Some reviewer said that the rooms were small but this is typical for the Tokyo area for this price.

Staff-- very helpful and friendly. Newspapers including English ones sold at the front desk. No public pay phone-- these are becoming harder to find all over Japan.

Highly recommended.
