As suggested by other reviewers, we pre bought the tickets to Disney Sea from the Hilton desk the night before (to visit on Tues 18th Dec 2012) and then headed to Disney Sea at 8:30am, half an hour before it opened and even then the queues were huge! The gates opened at 9am and the crowds surged in, all seemed to be heading straight for the new Toy Story Mania ride. We had been told to head to the ride we most wanted to go on and get a fast pass first (which gave us a return time of 10:25) then head to the next most favourite ride so that's what we did, getting a fast pass for the Tower of Terror (Def our fav!) and then we went to Indiana Jones and waited in the queue. This worked well and we headed back to the Tower of Terror, used the fast pass, then headed to the 20,000 leagues under the sea ride and picked up the next fast pass (issued for 2pm) then went and did some other rides.
We then discovered that you can do Indiana Jones as singles (there were 4 of us - 2 adults, a 13 & 11 year old) which meant you went almost straight to the front of the queue and then had a couple of minute wait between each of us riding and then we'd met at the exit. This worked well and we ended up riding it 5 times each!
At 13 & 11, we figured that DisneySea was a better option than Disneyland as even parts of DisneySea were not of any interest to the two boys who were just keen on the rides. Raging Spirits is another that offers single riders although not as quick to get through as Indiana Jones.
We were staying at the Hilton Tokyo Bay which was great for the location as it meant that we could go back for a couple of hours break in the afternoon then head back for the evening fireworks (and some more rides!)
If you are planning on coming and going from one of the resort hotels, it would be worth picking up a monorail day pass rather than individual tickets as we found that the choice of food at Ikspiari was great and worth the trip out of the hotel in the evenings where the food can be expensive.
