The Tokyu Sakae Inn location is ok. The access info on the website is not very accurate. It states 5-min from either Fushimi or Sakae station. In fact, It is closer to take the Exit 8 of Sakae Station of the Higashiyama subway line. Since you can walk thru the underground shopping streets. It's more than 5 blocks if you exit the Fushimi Station.
The room is good size comaparing to other inn. But it is small comparing to a hotel. The amenities and furniture in the room are very basic. Since most hotels/inns in Japan are clean.
Overall the room is just average.
Check out time is 10am much earlier than any other hotels. There is no leeway for late check-up. For the rate we paid thru Cathay Pacific city stayaway, it is not cheap.
There is no bell or concierge service. The front desk staff are not as hospital as all the other Japanese hotels we have stayed over all these years. Since we at least make 2 to 3 trips to Japan each year. Our rate comes with breakfast. The buffet includes Japanese and American breakfast, choices are limited.
We arrive at the Sakura season, so many hotels are full. We end up at Tokyu Inn. We most likely won't stay here again when we next visit Nagoya.
