“Ex Pat and True International Business Hotel- Best Marriott Overseas Thus far”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

We stayed here for a couple of nights away from sleeping on the floor at my families's homes and to be able to tour this city and take a plant tour of Toyota factory in Toyota City. This is truly a business hotel for international guests. the location is convenient for shopping and meals and the train stations. Their is a true business center with staff and a concierge level for frequent Marriott Rewards members. The breakfast was very good given a choice of American and Japanese style breakfasts.

My husband thought the rooms were extra clean. We did have to ask for a thicker mattress which was brought up minutes after the call. They stated this was common for Westerners.

I think the best part was that there were Boeing People living in the hotel working with Mitsubushi Industries that were great to hang out with. These were ex pats and people on 2-4 week assignments. They made us feel right at home and helped us locate some cool local eats and things to do.

Room Tip: Higher floor away from train side

The hotel is huge and located in the building above the Nagoya central station (super convenient). The room has very nice view of the city and the room size is pretty big. The swimming pool is very nice as well. The best thing was able to use the business lounge with good food & drinks but the view is awesome. Definitely will stay there again.

We flew in to Nagoya before continuing on our journey to Kanazawa and Takayama. Exceedingly convenient---right next to train station. EXCELLENT breakfast with FRESH orange juice, figs and greenhouse grapes!! Also has many intimate touches like takeaway coffee, which are intended to facilitate the traveller, and really warm the heart.
Highly recommended

Frequent traveller and I stay in Marriott alot in the US. I had had stayed in a very lux hotel in Tokyo the night before so maybe that affected my view of this hotel but it felt a bit dated. There was no mistaking it was a Marriott hotel - all the standard items there, coffee, etc. However room service choice was very limited, room quite small and bathroom a bit dated. Location is very good and the hotel looks fabulous on the outside. Foyer quite dark and not all that welcoming.

Stayed recently during my business trip in Nagoya.
Pretty convenient since it's located right on the Nagoya station..
Building itself is gorgeous and upscale but then $300 a night should...

very clean rooms and unique western furnitures...

The only bad things were:

1. Had coffee at the 1st floor cafe.. $8 for a cup of coffee..yikes

2. During the night, the wind was blowing against the window and was making chattering sound...
made me difficult to fall sleep but I did somehow...
My coworker who stayed at the same hotel told me the same thing...

Good things

1. convenience of being in the station
2. I can skip the expensive breakfast and go to nice cafes in the station
3. had awesome view of the Nagoya city
4. local people tells me that this is the hotel to be in...

We stayed here for a week for a business conference. We were on the 35th floor, and the hotel room was clean and comfortable and was a decent size for two people. The only odd thing was the large window that was over the combined bathtub/shower, which made it a little uncomfortable if you're like me and a bit afraid of heights! The hotel is in a very convenient location, being connected to the Nagoya train station, which also contains Takashimaya and a huge underground shopping mall. We opted for the concierge level, which was worth the price since we had access to wi-fi, the pool, baths, a relaxing lounge with a wonderful massage chair, and a well-equipped fitness center, and the concierge lounge for breakfast, afternoon snacks, and light dinner. The staff was always helpful and friendly. I would definitely opt to stay here again.

Stayed at this Hotel for 4 Nights (Sept 30- Oct 3 2013)

The Hotel is situated above Nagoya Train Station and the Lobby is on the 15th Floor.

Frequent Traveller and very impressed. This is a 5 star Hotel.
Lobby, Bars, Restaurant, All well manned with curteous staff.

My room was on 28th Floor. (8 Lifts serving upper floors)
Bed was very comfortable, View very good. Internet WiFi Free.
Trouser press and all the extras.
Bathroom excellent with heated toilet Seat and Built in Bidet facility.

The best thing about this room was the Bathroom Condiments.
All housed in large containers that can be read easily. No waste or free take home shampoos.
My pet hate is showering and not being able to read if i am using Shampoo/Conditioner or Shower gel.
Perfect for anyone who wears glasses.

Breakfast was 2,000 Yen and very very extensive with 'cook as you wait' egg station.

In House Restaurants appeared expensive and did not eat in them. Gym also was expensive so cannot comment.
I paid 18,000Y per night including 2,000 for breakfast.

I would rate this as the Best Hotel I have stayed in anywhere in the world on Business.

Laundry of a shirt cost £4 and came back wrapped as new in cellophane!

Thoroughly recommended. Excellent Staff.
On my check out day they held my luggage for me so I could conclude my Business without carrying a large case.
