“Pharaoh's island trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

This was an organised trip to Pharaoh's island "Egypt" from Aqaba city. I went with a group of friends where we had to send copies of our passports few days before to arrange for the security approvals.
The sea trip on "Ala' Eddin" ship was relaxing and we had a great time swimming near the island, I did some snorkeling over there but found nothing to see underwater.
The island has an ancient castle built by the great Islamic leader Salah Eddin, and the view from there was amazing. Some of us (including me) had the chance for scuba diving, it was great although the place where we dived has no corals or colored fish to see.
They served a simple lunch on-board including either one soda drink or one small bottle of water. For more drinks you have to pay.
Our trip lasts for about 6 hours before we went back to Aqaba (Tala Bay).

“unfriendly people”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

we were in the discovery trip in 29 oct 2013 we payed 29 JD / person which is quite expensive for what you get, going on see trip is a nice in general the coral is amazing , the trip include lunch which is poor , but its not the point , the problem that when you go the see you consider relaxation and to enjoy the max not to take
pointless orders from the staff who should make your trip pleasant not to
disturb you on such a trip , there no guide in the trip to give any information a bout what you see in the trip , and careful they gave you a drink you will think its included and after ten minute they come and ask you to pay for 1.75 JD / person which 7 double of the regular price , for me I will never go on such a trip whit these people

“Glass bottom boat trip with snorkelling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Sinbad have a very good reputation, and deservedly so. We went on an afternoon tour which included viewing coral, fish and the wreck of a sunken ship throughout the glass bottom, plenty of time for snorkelling (equipment provided), and an excellent barbecue lunch.
The crew were helpful and swam out to show the best areas to view the coral. For less confident swimmers, inflatable rings on long pieces of rope were attached to the boat, a really thoughtful initiative. Staff watched out al the time to ensure safety. Some excellent fish and coral were on view.
The glass bottom viewing was also well-organised. We have been on glass-bottom boat trips in the past where everyone is jostling for a view, and looking over people's shoulders. With the Sinbad trip, people go down to the glass bottom section of the boat in groups, with seating provided, so everyone gets a good, comfortable, view.
The boat's crew are superb; friendly, cheerful, helpful and professional.
Thank you for a fantastic afternoon which we will always remember.

“Skeptical at first, then happily surprised.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

This tour was organized through our hotel (Kempinski), whereupon personnel from the hotel picked us up by motorboat and drove us to the Discovery boat.
The first part was a little off, the music was loud and there was no real guidance there, when more people boarded we were soon swept into the back and had to stay upstairs while they viewed the fish and coral reefs through the glass windows at the bottom of the boat. When it was our turn we ended up a bit disappointed.
This all took a turn when the boat stopped to let us snorkel for about an hour, that was great fun. The place we stopped was perfect, there were tonnes of fish and we even saw an octopus and thousands of corals. When we boarded the boat again, tired and satisfied, a delicious lunch awaited us. There was enough for those who were vegetarian and the meat-eaters among us.
All in all, it ended up being a lot better than the initial reaction was - and for the price of 29JD we recommend it.

“Brilliant Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2012

We signed up for the Coral Viewing and Snorkeling cruise on a beautiful sunny day in March. What we liked most about the cruise was the hospitality and friendliness of the crew. The cruise took about 3 hours, and the time just flew by. The cruise includes a scrumptious BBQ lunch which is served after the coral viewing activity and free time snorkeling. The lunch was most welcomed after treading through the rather cold waters of the sea. The coral viewing was also a real treat as it was not just a 5 minute affair but rather a 20 to 30 minute item. All in all, a good day out with friendly staff and unforgettable scenery.
