“Terrific seaside hotel in Jordan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

My wife and I were in Israel and took a trip to Jordan. Our original itinerary was to include Petra for two nights (see our review of the Movenpick Hotel there) and then a night in a Beduin tent in Wadi Rum. It was very cold when we were there and our guide suggested that instead of staying in a cold tent at Wadi Rum, we go to Aqaba after the tour of the dessert.

We agreed and are glad we did. We stayed at the Kempiski Hotel on the Beach in Aqaba, which was five star all around. The room was large, comfortable and quiet with a great view of the Gulf of Aqaba and the city of Eilat. We had dinner outdoors facing the gulf at their seafood restaurant, which was superb. The morning breakfast was sumptuous. The service was excellent throughout. After dinner we walked the few blocks into the center of Aqaba where we enjoyed the nightlife and bustle of a busy city. The next morning we walked to the mosque and the market. We are glad to have have changed our plans and to the warm welcome and comfort of the Kempinski Hotel.

Room Tip: All the rooms have views. There is a property being renovated next door, so stay toward the middle...

Friendly staff. New and modern hotel. Very good service. Only food is not 5*.
Perfectly located in the City center. Nice beach and swimmingpool. Perfect to start your roundtrip in Jordan. Close ro Wadi Rum. This is a perfect daytrip. Aqaba itself is nice to have a stroll in the evening.

Room Tip: Executive suite had great views

I stayed at the Kempinski Aqaba with my family for 5 days and the whole experience was smooth and very comfortable. The difference between the Kempenski and other Aqaba hotels is that it is very well contained in terms of architecture you don't feel lost. Everything is very accessable and you just feel you can trust having your kids moving around freely without fair of having them get lost!
From what I saw, most of the rooms have an extraordinary sea view. The interior design of the room is very simple yet very elegant. With modern white shades and functional furniture you feel the beauty of the sea is not overtaken by a room stuffed with too many frills.
The staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet has great variety and excellent quality food. The swimming pool is very nicely designed, where the whole family can enjoy it without having to worry about the kids pool being too far from sight.
The beach is very clean and very close to the pool, you can just move back and forth without too much tought.
All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely love to go back to Kempinski Aqaba for more visits.

We stayed for a week at the Kempinski (in Al-Aqabah), and enjoyed it totally! The hotel sits right on the beach, and our room was spacious, the bathroom very nice, and so was the balcony - and the view of the Red Sea from the balcony very nice indeed. The breakfast was nice enough, though not earthshaking! (Well, for those who enjoy champagne breakfasts it might be perfect!). The staff was unfailingly helpful and extremely service minded. All in all a lovely stay! Oh yes - kudos to the designer of the pools! In large parts of the pool it looked as if one were swimming in the Red Sea - you simply could not see the beach in between - very cleverly designed it was!

Room Tip: We had room 404, which had - as mentioned a lovely view (all rooms did), but was away from the resta...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and for recommending our hotel to the travel community.

I also have a lot of respect toward our swimming pool designer, being able to enjoy the pool but feeling like you are enjoying the whole Red Sea, is such an amazing experience and I am glad that you enjoyed it. It was a pleasure welcoming you at our hotel and we are looking forward for your next visit.

We spent a week at this nice hotel. The hotel staff was extremely firiendly and everyhing was very clean and nice, but quality of service was not always five star-level.
We had a wonderful week with our excellent driver Abdulla Qabaa ( abdulla.qabaa@gmail.com). We made trips with him to Wadi rum, Petra and Dead Sea. We can warmly recommend him!

This is what five stars is all about!! The breakfast was mind blowing, they even had free champagne! Beautiful rooms, great view, great beach and pool, great gym. A lot of different meals to choose from during lunch and dinner. You don't even need to leave the place. I was amazed.

I could go on forever!
