Everything was topp! Exceptional staff! If you are going to Aqaba i would recommend you to stay here. We came after driving car for 6 hours, our room was perfect. The hotel staff made everything they could to make our stay there to be perfect. The breakfast was “so-so” especially when you compare it with breakfasts in other Kempinski hotels , where for example you get served sparkling vine and have Asian station. By mentioned that I would suggest Kempinski read sea to improve their breakfast alternatives. Otherwise service where exceptional and since we didn’t find the food for us in the breakfast buffet, the chef made special dishes for us.
I would recommend to stay there and when we will come back to Aqaba we would stay there again.

Have just returned from our second visit to Kempinski in Aqaba for 1 week.
Spacious rooms, great service and a superb a la carte restaurant (expensive) by the sea.
Looking forward to next visit.
Absolutely recommended !!

This hotel is an excellent hotel with exceptional staff and facilities. A good selection of in-house dining and a lovely pool/beach area.

The rooms are spacious and the inclusion of a free non-alcoholic mini-bar is a nice touch.

My only concern are the horribly inflated prices of the in-house dining/services. These are on level with expensive European restaurants and typically 100-200% more expensive than in the restaurants outside of the hotel.

The service is generally good with kind attentive staff. They do however seem a bit limited in the strict policies of the hotel. This creates a stiffer atmosphere than necessary.

The location of the hotel is very good, a few minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of central Aqaba. The only thing of concern here is that there is a building project on the land next to the hotel (as of dec 12) that may cause noise.

Overall I would recommend the hotel for anyone who wants a truly lovely stay in Aqaba

Room Tip: Most rooms (from X01 to X30) are with a nice seafront room.

We traveled as a couple end of Nov in 2012. the hotel staff really made impressed us. (thanks to Alejandra and Daria!) And just to give an example after the second day the lady who was receiving guests on terrace remembered our names and what my girlfriend kind of drink she was preferring.
The hotel architecture has nothing to do with Arab culture or Jordanian culture, it's rather Swedish from my point of view. not really my taste, but that's just a personal view.
Food as exceptional, from how it was presented, to taste and selections, so congrats to the Chef.
I recommend this hotel for high quality standards of the furniture, spa, bath facilities, services, pool and again excellent service.

Room Tip: all rooms have sea side view. we did not hear any music from Intercontinental during our stay.if the...

We stayed at neighbour hotel InterContinental for one night, then moved on to Kempinski next door. What a great move! Kempinski Aqaba is refreshingly modern, comfortable and very clean. The rooms are very spacious, all facing the sea (different from other hotels in the region). The service was a highlight, especially from the front desk - Dulce - and the room cleaning services - Cresencio (the most spotless room we ever stayed at!). All restaurants are very good, especially the Fish Inn, and the Arab food special night. Service is poor only at the busy beach restaurant, as it is the only option during the day at the hotel, which makes it very busy, but still service there is slow. We spent 9 nights there, and were very happy. It's clearly the best hotel in Aqaba. Recommended!

Room Tip: The rooms on the ground floor are too noisy, as they are below the restaurant where the breakfast is...

This hotel has all the amenities of a 5 star, but a few issues would make it fully earned. Every room has a great view of the Gulf of Aqaba, each room has a nice outdoor balcony for watching the sunset over Israel, just four miles across the gulf. The check-in staff and support people in the lobby are extremely friendly to tourists.

Hotel rooms have a complimentary mini-bar, stocked with water, and soft drinks. A coffee maker and all the needed supplies, a big flat screen TV, lots of closet space.

The swimming pools and beach areas are all first class. There is a small workout room for the fitness folks, treadmills, bikes, and free weights.

Now the negative aspects....the service is not first class, they are a little slow to fix things or provide needed services. The breakfast buffet was always the same food, every morning, and since I was there for over two weeks, it got boring. Prices are high by Jordainian standards, but this is really pretty upscale.

I would stay here again if I were to get a bit shorter vacation, say a week.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor looking out at the sea for the best views.

Where do I begin? Well, since we were checking in early - mid morning, we had to wait an hour for our room to be cleaned and ready for us that early August stay. So I'll start there. Our poolside wait sure felt too good, we almost forgot we were waiting! Service & cleanliness poolside by a crew of Filipinos was top-notch! And the fact that they spoke straight English was a bonus! We were there during Ramadan so the town of Aqaba was subdued in the day. Perfect for us, visitors. Talk about first impression: a tray of rolled-up ROSE-SCENTED COOL TOWELS were presented to each guest by the pool, helping us cool down in the summer heat of the Arabian Desert region. A mixed fruity drink by the pool bar was yummy. We had the EXECUTIVE DELUXE SUITE -- a 2-room suite with balcony that stretched between both doors from the room and the adjacent living room. Both rooms welcomed us with a plateful of appetizers and bon bons. The contemporary leather sectional sofa/lounge was perfect for our daughter. Housekeeping provided & set-up a very comfortable bedding for her there, both nights. They had evening turn-down service, providing us with bottled water with glasses, as well as slippers on each bedside over linen towels. The NESPRESSO machine with a selection of flavored coffee pods, was a delight to have each morning. I so enjoyed the rain showerhead and the separate tub, overlooking the Red Sea through the panoramic clear glass partition. They provided Dead Sea Salts by the tub. Fresh orchids were a delight in the bathroom. And best of all the luxurious, clean, white duvet & beddings and fluffy pillows! Slept through the nights in total comfort! The buffet breakfast was sumptuous but our buffet dinner the first night was just OK. We decided to try the more formal seafood restaurant the next evening. Gourmet to the hilt. Delicioso! I have to end this review with another mention of the superb, caring staff. They make all the difference in the world of hotel accomodations!

Room Tip: If the budget allows, pick the suites over the room!!!
