“Very relaxed stay and pool side sunbathing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

A very relaxing stay as we neared the end of our trip round Jordan. Aqaba is essentially a beach resort and this is a pleasant hotel with well proportioned pools and nice rooms. Service was really professional. My only gripe was that kids should be discouraged from diving in the main pool - staff needed to try a little harder to stop that. But that's a tiny complaint and I'd recommend anybody to stay here.

Room Tip: Rooms can look directly on to the pools - ours did. But there was no noise problem.

This hotel trades a lot on the many positive TA reviews it gets .

It is a nice 4 Star property and does provide value for money , but it is not great ....there are a number of areas it could improve. Customer service is very mixed , there are a number of non Arabian staff in the restaurant and bar outlets and I found them to be generally indifferent and on some occasions a little bit rude, the Jordanian and Egyptian staff were great but the Russian and Fillipino staff let the hotel down .

I have no idea why this hotel does not provide any tea , coffee or water in the rooms , this is a standard globally and it is a bit miserable that it is not on offer . It took over an hour and 3 calls to front desk to get an iron and to be given only one towel in the bathroom was perhaps an oversight but again a call to have additional took more than 30 mins to get a response.

If you have not been to Aqaba before be aware the hotel is an 8 to 10 JD ride from the downtown , a 20JD ride from the airport , there is a free shuttle bus backwards and forwards but only at set times , once you arrive at the hotel you are captured by the food and beverage options the hotel provides unless you are prepared to arrange your dining and entertainment options around the shuttle. Take more than 2 taxis to / from the hotel and the cheaper rates start to be not so cheap after all , unless you speak Arabic you might battle to get a cab for 8 JD or less.

The beach club is nice but the beach is not that great for swimming.

I think the Movenpick in Aqaba town is an overall better choice , while it does cost more it is overall a far more superior property and the ability to walk into the city and a far better beach makes it a better option.

The hotel actively sells it positive reviews on TA , so Marina Plaza , work on improving the customer service for your F&B staff and provide free coffee and tea for your guests if you want me to return

Room Tip: There are no lifts and some rooms are up 4 levels of stairs ,

Stayed there with some friends and family. Not bad, but can use some attention to make it better.

Hotel is very conveniently located in Tala Bay away from the busy city. the only value that this hotel offers over other 4 stars properties is the access to the Tala Bay Beach.

Rooms are spacious relatively, furnishings are ok but I would have preferred a softer bed. Bathrooms were ok although the shower drain was partly clogged.
Service was very very friendly, but lacked the efficiency. It was slow and lacked the eye for detail such as missing items on the table, replacing bathroom amenities, or reshuffling the room arrangements.

Food quality was good, but with traffic, the service for breakfast became impossible. replenishment was extremely slow making it impossible to get hold of items. live stations were way understaffed for the expected level of traffic (1 person for a full hotel).

An earlier reviewer said not to go during public holiday (Eid) and I believe he was right.

Pool is adequate and well maintained. Towel service is a process that I believe should be simplified.

Overall, value is good and only augmented from the access to Tala Bay beach. Otherwise it is overpriced.

Room Tip: Avoid Rooms next to Generators on higher floors. Pool side rooms are great if you don't mind th...

This hotel is a very good value for money. This is because you can use the swimming pools of the tala bay village next to the hotel. So You have the swimming pool of the hotel plus two swimming pools for the Tala Bay Village. Also this hotel has a private beach which is good except that the stones are not removed from the shallow water.
The breakfast buffet is very good with international and Arabic food served. Although the service in the restaurant is not excellent ( You have to wait long for the waiter to bring you coffee and tea).
The rooms are nice and clean although they are a little bit small.
The staff are nice and helpful although they are not as nice as you find in a five stars hotel .
Overall The hotel is a nice four stars hotel and really a good value for money.

Hotel was ok. breakfast was just good ... breakfast was the same for 2 days ... make sure you eat your breakfast early to avoid the residues ... have nice pools ... need to walk to the private beach bcoz the hotel is not on the private beach ... no tea, Nescafe and water free service ... staff were nice and helpful ... a bout 15 KM from Aqaba city ... the hotel provide free shuttle service 4 times a day ... price ..I guess it must be lower than what we paid ...

This is the place that you would really wish to spend more time there, with a wide range of activities, diving, para-sailing, jet skies and so you wish that you have more time to spent there.

the room i had was with pool view, at first i thought that a sea side room would be much better, but the aerobatics they start in the morning will make your day.
