“wings...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2012

Heard about the famous buffalo wings. It was amazing to had it at Buffalo for the very first time. Try the delicious sauces and on Tuesdays they have a cheaper deals. Liked the all around tv screens, since it is popular during games. Try the Parmesan and Jalapeno sauce.

“what? can't hear you.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

-tv's everywhere and so loud you couldn't hear each other
-game day and special prices on certain beers. I wouldn't call $5 for a beer "a special".
-food rations were very small. Ordered the 8 boneless chicken wings and it came in a little cardboard cup, not even a plate. No extras. You would be better off to go through a drive-through somewhere for the same feel.

“TRAGIC IRONY: BUFFALO WILD WINGS IS NOT IN BUFFALO!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2011

A Tragic Irony: Buffalo Wild Wings, the world’s largest wings-phenomenon-piggy backer . .has no Buffalo presence!

Here’s Cross-Culture-Maven’s take on this establishment:

•Food: maybe not the best wings in Buffalo, but consistently good.

•Drink: Prices are too high.

•Service: It looks like a military operation! I’ve never seen more guys in manager pants. Each layer in the hierarchy has their own uniform. It’s fun watching the pecking order play out on the floor. I miss the intimacy and “Cheers” nature of the old BWW places, replaced by this behemoth. Only 2 employees here are from the old Elmwood Avenue joint (which *was* actually *in* Buffalo).

•Screens: The place is bright, just from all the video screens. If you like TV, you have died and gone to heaven. If you want, a quiet romantic dinner “Whoops, honey. We’re in the wrong place.”

•Clientele: Young and families, with a few old timers at the bar.

•Service regime: The goal is “get ‘em in, put the order in, and move ‘em out when the game’s over.” Corporate efficiency reins. Computer printouts estimate how many ounces of booze each bartender wastes.

“Understaffed but the Food Was Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2010

The BWW chain needs no introduction. I have to wonder if they located this restaurant so far away from downtown Buffalo out of respect for the granddaddy of hot wings, Anchor Bar? There is alot of restaurant and sports bar competition in the Buffalo metro area, and there were not many people there on the Friday night I went. Many tables needed clearing, and there was only one server to handle customers in the bar area. But, if you like to watch sports, and if you have something to drink in your hand, who's in a hurry, right? Great food. I'll be back.
