we chose to stay on the zambian side for old time's sake, as we had last been there in '75.
we has no problems with the hotel at all; room was smallish but immaculate. It was lovely to be able to walk at your leisure to the falls as often as you wished. we had an inclusive package with breakfast and dinner included;the buffets were extensive and varied, and the service was excellent. Alll staff were helpful and enthusiastic - when we needed stamps they sent to the Royal Livingstone for them and we received them in 15 minutes!
The music in the evenings was very pleasant and added to the atmosphere.
BUT at $4 for a beer and $4.50 for a glass of very indifferent wine we felt that it was pricey!
otherwise we had a great time - we added the day trip to Chobe and that was worth every penny/rand/dollar! the wildlife viewing was excellent - this from real aficionados.
