“Excellent location, fun decor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2010

Th hotel is so close to the Falls and within the National Park so you can zip in and out frequently without paying fees. Zebra, monkeys and giraffe roam the grounds. It is easy to walk to the Royal Livingstone for a drink or meal. Activities easy to arrange. Meals fine.

“Great location for walks to the Falls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2010

We stayed here in Sept 09 on the first leg of a 3 week trip to Southern Africa. We found the people friendly and enthusiatic and the breakfasts by the pool good. The accommodation was OK if a little tired. The fact that you can travel by a free shuttle to the Royal Livingstone Hotel and cross charge expenditure was a bonus as was the free 'high tea' organised for us there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We did the small boat trip on the Zambezi which was great for game viewing - highly recommended.

“SUPER TRIP”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2010

we chose to stay on the zambian side for old time's sake, as we had last been there in '75.
we has no problems with the hotel at all; room was smallish but immaculate. It was lovely to be able to walk at your leisure to the falls as often as you wished. we had an inclusive package with breakfast and dinner included;the buffets were extensive and varied, and the service was excellent. Alll staff were helpful and enthusiastic - when we needed stamps they sent to the Royal Livingstone for them and we received them in 15 minutes!
The music in the evenings was very pleasant and added to the atmosphere.
BUT at $4 for a beer and $4.50 for a glass of very indifferent wine we felt that it was pricey!
otherwise we had a great time - we added the day trip to Chobe and that was worth every penny/rand/dollar! the wildlife viewing was excellent - this from real aficionados.

“A nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2010

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Beware of going to the market just outside of the grounds by the falls. Unfortunately the day before departure I was given a fake $100 from one of the ventors selling from one the little stalls. When I informed the security at the hotel, he arranged that on my departure my money will be returned at the airport, well you can guess as to if I got the money returned. I didn't. !!
