I was a little nervous before I arrived as I noted some mixed reviews on this site. However, once we arrived, all fears were allayed as our stay was extremely pleasant.
We stayed at the hotel as part of our tour package booked through www.2afrika.com (and could not recommend them enough!). The hotel's room was as has been depicted with brightly colored paints. As we visited in february, the weather was quite warm, but the rooms ari conditioning kept us very comfortable throughout our stay.
The falls were a 5 minute walk from the property, with free unlimited acces (non-guests are charged an admittance fee). Additionally, the front desk checked out free rain coats to wear down to the falls (highly recommended as you will get soaked, but will love every moment there).
The hotel was a short 20 minute raid from the Livingstone Airport. We rode horses while staying on the property and got up close and personal with giraffes, zebra, and baboons. We also took a sunset cruise on the Zambezi river which offered an open bar and was an extremely relaxing and pleasurable experience (with several hippo sightings).
Despite previous reviews, check in (where we served complementary drinks) and check out where a breeze. Both only took approximately 5 minutes and no anomolies took place. The only negative was the the hotels buffet dinner costs US $35/person. However, there is also another restaurant on the property which served dinners that very reasonably priced (our dinners there ran at about US $20 for two people).
If you are staying at the hotel, we are confident you will not be disappointed. We were not and were very happy 2Afrika booked us at the Zambezi Sun!
