We, two families with children, remained 9 days and enjoyed any minute. Everything was perfect. The lodge is a paradise with mangotrees, flowers and a nice pool. The property is completely protected and day and night pays attention somebody. The chalets are furnished comfortably and have in each case own terrace on which one can delightfully enjoy. Wifi works everywhere absolutely easily. The staff is very friendly and fulfils every wish. Andrew is a real fellow. He gets and brings one to the airport. He and his wife Viktoria are excellent cooks. My personal recommendation: Tournedos Colcannon! We had a wonderful time in Livingstone. Thank you very much indeed, Viktoria and Andrew!

What a lovely place to stay. We were frightened and did not know what we were going to but wow Andrew and Victoria were great. The room was equipped with everything needed for a stay over and clean and tidy. The meals were great and all cooked by Andrew himself. What a friendly welcome we got and so relaxing. Would recommend this lodge to anyone. Great Andrew and Victoria keep up the great work

Room Tip: The two rooms we stayed in No 1 and No 5 were both great

Our stay in Livingstone was smooth and effortless because of Andrew and his staff. The chalets are simple but comfortable. Everything worked, which isn't always the case. The food was also delicious and very generous portions. We felt very well taken care of with staying there and our excursions. Andrew did all the work. For the price especially, this is by far amongst the best level of hospitality any hotel staff has shown in all my travels. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

We stayed in the greed tree lodge for two nights in total. The first night before we went on our 21 day safari tour and the second night when we retourned. We enjoyed our stay at the green tree lodge very much. The value for money is excellent. The rooms are clean, with TV, warm shower, moscito net, air condition and free wife. Furthermore andrew picked us up at the airport for free and after our tour he also droped us out at the airport again for free. Comparing the waterfront lodge with the green tree lodge the green tree lodge is my first choice. No drunken tourist shouting around during the night and no overpriced drinks and meals and no overpriced airport transfers (30 euros per person). Overall a very good experience at the green tree lodge. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Always again.

We had a great stay for a few days at the green tree lodge last year. It was good value and Andrew and Victoria were very welcoming hosts and provided good food and advice on where to go and what activities to do. Andrew also kindly gave us a lift to join our tour (and was fined by the local police in the process!). Would definitely stay again if visiting livingstone!

My boyfriend and I are in Africa for the first time. The owners at this lodge take pride in this place as do the hard . The food is absolutely amazing cooked all from the owner himself. The barbeque sauce is homemade and a most try. Would definitely stay here again!

Even though Tripadvisor is already full of raving reviews of Green Tree Lodge, I still wanted to add mine: This place is special because of its owners, Andrew and his wife. Even though we stayed in many nice places during our 7 weeks in Southern Africa, Andrew really went more out of his way than anyone else to make our stay enjoyable, by basically organising all our activities in Livingstone including transportation back and forth, driving us into town to the bus station on our last day for free, cooking dinner to order, giving us an extra bed etc. etc. He is an excellent chef, having lots of experience in the industry. During our stay, for 3 nights in a row, he cooked multi-course Indian dinners of the highest standards for an Indian family from the US, who were very happy with it (I think their review is one of those written for July/August 2013). It was so good we joined in and also had Indian food:-)
Gree Tree Lodge is situated in a beautiful little compound, with a pool, and many varieties of fruit/vegetable producing plants. The chalets are simple, but they have everything you could wish for: they are clean, have tea-cooking facilites, a TV, your own clean bathroom, Mozzy nets, a Veranda in front - and there is free WiFi!...
Price-wise, Green Tree Lodge was probably one of the best value for money accomodations during our whole trip through Africa.
