I was persused by a friend to visit Pandanus Resort. Not knowing what to expect I booked for 3 nights. Wrong decision I stayed for TWO WEEKS. What a beautiful Resort. The tranqulity, the lush gardens, exceptional pool and a glorious beach. I wanted to unwind and relax Pandanus gave me all this and more. The staff obliging, curtious and friendly and most important willing to serve with a smile and that is a huge PLUS. Return YOU BET.

We have just returned from four restful days at the Pandanus resort. We stayed in a family room, 2 adults and 2 children. It had two bedrooms two bathrooms and a small living area with TV, mini bar and sofa. The hotel grounds were immaculate. We spent our time swimming in the pool, walking on the beach, exploring the local sand dunes and the Mui Ne Market. We had a private car transfer from Ho Chi Minh, it took 5hours on the way up and 4 hours back to the airport. The drive was interesting, a little long for the children. The food at the hotel was good, a large variety. The spa was excellent, we had both massage by the pool and in the spa. The manicures and pedicures were excellent also. We stayed at the Pandanus for 5 nights. The resort is great itself with nice swimming pool and spacious room, great private beach,and beautiful landscape. It could be described as "paradise" if only the staff were nicer. I concur with the negative comments of some guest about the casual and couldn't -care- less attitude of the local staff. Our stay was made pleasant by 2 expat staff from Philippines and Bali, who spoke good English and was very friendly in contrast to the local female staff at the hotel .Otherwise, we would probably have left after 1-2 nights. We couldn't communicate even the simplest things to the local receptionist staff.They are the only ones functional in English. On the other hand , I must say that the male staff eg bell boy, gardener, pool staff etc were very friendly. Though they also do not speak English, but they made an effort to say Good morning with a smile.

The waitresses in the cafe has a nonchalant attitude and weren't friendly at all. They are rude and did not seem to enjoy their work. Almost seem to start the morning with a sulk. There was never any greeting nor a smile and almost jealous of Asian guests staying in that resort. I hate to say this but it was almost as if they were spiteful. They could do with some service training.. Caucasian guests and Asian guests were almost treated with an ugly difference. Local staff has to be trained to understand that Asian guests also pay as much as the Caucasian guests. Do not be biased.

My fiance had a massage at the beach side and was demanded a tip before he could even finish buttoning up his shirt. She was more interested in the tip rather than her work. Doens't she realise that a tip is to be given for good service and not when she wasn't friendly nor interested. It has to be optional. She was tipped but moderately, and gave an unhappy/almost ugly look at us. We always tip generously for good service.

Overall, service in the hotel could be improved with better staff that would complement this great resort. As mentioned, we enjoyed it because of the 2 great foreign staff working at reception.Thanks to them.

in february we (two adults, one child, one infant) spent three wonderful weeks in this dreamlike resort. we inhabited a spacious bungalow with direkt sea look.
the generous arrangement looked very much cultivated and cleanly, the matching beach segment was cleaned by the gardeners every morning. a shuttle bus was put several times daily by the hotel in the nearby mui ne. the room were cleaned daily, changed two times daily even towels. service and food were unique, food was very tasty, diverse and international too, staff really friedly cooperatively and fond of children.
restaurant 24 hours on the day open. One ore two time at week we had a pool party with excellent food too.
management always searches the nearness to the guest, manager was accissible any time for guests.
we are globetrotters, have seen up to now a lot from the world, nevertheless, this management was unambiguously the best of all. no other manager grabs thus with, gathers alluvial rubbish on the beach.....
we have around felt fine here.
