I stayed here for two nights in June. Even though I was not sure what to expect due to the previous unambiguous reviews on this hotel here at Tripadvisor, the reality was quite a disappointment.
The room I got was dirty. I am not very demanding person, but I dont like if I it feels disgusting to me to lie down in the bed. The walls have not been painted for a while, having a lot of smudges on them. My bed sheet had some spots on in just on the place where you are supposed to have your had. Overall the room equipment was very run out and in a great need of improvement. The safety box was locked, but even if it was open, there was no point putting your valuables in it, as it was not fastened to the cupboard. Therefore anyone could easily walk out with it all.
When I went to bed I found several ants running across my sheet. But what was my surprise in the morning to find out that they found some food I left on the table! It was full of them (ants) and I could only bin it. Also the small details like the ventilation grid or bath tub were just awful.
The breakfast buffet is very poor. Most of the food being a local one. If you are looking for something European, you might be in trouble.
The resort itself is very small (its not really a resort in fact, rather a oceanside hotel). It is a courtyard style resort with a main building along the road (with the breakfast room in it, so you basically eat next to the road) and two row houses on both sides. In the middle there is a swimming pool (nice one) and a few palm trees. The bar did not look open to late hours and all around the resort you could find a mess in the shadowy places. The managers excuse was that it was a time of some reconstruction works (which is a truth, but it does not excuse all the mess all around).
Probably all this could be fine if it wasnt for the beach. There is in fact no beach at all. At a high tide you can only reach the water from the stone steps, while during a low tide there is about 5-10 metres of sand available. However this sand is wet, so you cannot really lie on it. All you can use is a stripe of "sand" (very rough combination of sand with broken shells) above the stone steps with few sunbeds and sunshades.
I had a chance to see the other resorts in the area and after that I can honestly say, go somewhere else (Bamboo village, Ocean Star...) - where there are clean rooms, sandy beach, facilities available, etc. If you are a budget traveller seaking for a cheap overnight, than Dynasty might be OK. If, however, you are looking for a beach retreat for a few days, keep away. Not really a 3 star in my eyes.
