“great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

What we liked
liked the breakfast , good choice , nice pool and beach , like the way the rooms where set in four villa type buildings , and large bedroom room with jacuzzi in the bathroom ample toiletries very clean ,well groomed gardens , theirs a lot of steps down from reception to pool , beach , restaurant area , The food in the restaurant was good and a reasonable price also had a beer promotion which was great , 30,000 dong for 2 bottles

What we did not like?
the front desk needs more English and they should run a bus down town in the evening to Mui ne

Tip
from Saigon you can catch the sleeper bus very comfortable take s about 5/6 hours , with a rest stop. and the price 145.000 dong

We stayed 3 days in a 60m bungalow with sea and pool views. The resort gardens are wonderful, the staff super friendly. The masseuse has magic hands,we had the 80mind special massage, don't miss it!! The breakfast buffet is included, we ate so much French pastry, Vietnamese pho and tropical fruits while enjoying the sea views.
Since we stayed in low season,we were alone enjoying the pool and the jacuzzi.
We booked the 4am tour to the white and red dunes, not worth cause there's so many tourists with noisy quats that is difficult to enjoy the sunrise. But the fish market was great and the fairy river is nice to see.
We recommend taking a taxi and going for dinner to Bo Ke, to eat really fresh seafood. Make sure you go to the restaurant right in front of the pagoda. Afterwards walk up the street and have some 2x1 mojitos at Pogo, and chill out watching the sunset.
This resort is peaceful and romantic, worth every penny. Thank you so much for such a nice experience!!!

The resort is far from restaurants and going out area. You need a taxi or a scooter to get around. The people at the reception are generally nice until you get to a meaning difference like we had about leaving the passports with them. I know people do that but I feel insecure not having my passport at my disposal ! So we didn't want give our passport. They didn't say but the real problem is they are afraid we leave without paying so we payed when we arrived and got to keep our passports. The spa is zero! No quality at all! The masseuse I had didn't know what she was doing!
This negative experience being said I can tell you the room you get is not in a bungalow but in a villa. A luxurious room! Good firm bed. A diverse breakfast and quite delicious. The pool is inviting and the sea is a few
steps away. The 4 villas (where the rooms are) are in a tropical garden really taken care of, situated on a hill which is not abrupt. Easy to walk. Beautiful place!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

I spent 2 weeks here starting 28 September, and can honestly say it's one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. My only real criticisms are of the resort itself, not of the hotel.

Good points:
1. The layout has been planned with real style and imagination - the hotel complex is basically a big tropical garden on a hillside. Just walking to and from the restaurant was a real pleasure.
2. The restaurant is great - more expensive than most places in the town, but everything we ate there was of a high standard, including the breakfast.
3. The other guests - this is a perfect place for a romantic get-away, and most guests were couples. Because of its size there are no large groups of package tourists. Which makes for a quiet, calm atmosphere.
4. The swimming pool - I tend to ignore these and swim in the sea, but this one was exceptionally picturesque.
5. The super-cheap taxis to the town - cheaper than bus fares in Western countries.
6. The room itself - large, luxurious, with an enormous balcony with a view of the sea, where I loved to sit in the evenings and have a beer or two.
7. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
8. The taxi provided by the hotel to Nha Trang airport - it was about $120, which seemed reasonable for a comfortable 4-hour drive which saved us what would have been a much longer journey by bus. Other guests told us that they got the bus from Saigon, got stuck in traffic, and spent over 10 hours on the road.

Bad points:
1. The sea - if you swim in it, the staff will rush out onto the beach waving their arms and urging you to come back to shore - even if the waves are small. They seem absolutely terrified of guests having accidents in the water (I'm not sure of the reason for this - perhaps local laws make them liable). I complained at reception about this, and explained that I'm a reasonably competent swimmer and can take care of myself - after that we were allowed to swim a bit, but still it was stressful having to keep arguing with them. For most of the holiday the sea was clean, but for the last few days it became extremely dirty, with litter floating everywhere and we couldn't swim anymore. I don't know the reason for this and it obviously isn't the hotel's fault, but it's something to consider if you're coming to this resort. It's not an ideal swimming location.
2. The wi-fi was very weak and intermittent. But at least it was free and it worked. Good enough for e-mails and basic browsing, not good enough for streaming videos.
3. Again, not the hotel's fault - but the fishing motorboats out at sea can be quite loud in the mornings.

To sum up, I highly recommend this hotel for families and couples. At $83 a night for a double room I consider it to have been exceptionally good value. But if swimming in the sea is your priority, Mui Ne might not be for you, unless the local authorities start doing a better job of keeping the water clean. The town itself has nothing in particular to see, but numerous great restaurants with wonderfully cheap prices. And there are plenty of great tours of the region - especially to the dunes.

Rooms and grounds were wonderful......beach was lackluster, no beach bar, or service of any sort once checked in.....sat at the restaurant the second day and was brought a menu but the staff opted to sort silverware rather than wait on customers so we left and went into town where people are begging for business. With the lack of guests, you would think they would be catering to the needs of the ones that are there, but there seemed to be little to no service other than the towel boys at the pool making sure everyone was comfortable. Will not be going back to this place again.

Room Tip: if you want to chill at a pool and enjoy a room, but eat out in town.....this is good, otherwise not...

A quiet resort that suited us from heads to toes
We stayed here for 3 nights and would not forget 4ever. Room was really huge, clean and has a traditional design. Bathroom was big also, with large window that made me feel like i had a bath in nature ;)
Because of this resort that made me taking time to review in trip advisory!
