“Great budget option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

We had a pleasant experience and The Thai Hoa Resort. It is almost the furthest resort towards Mui Ne Town ( to the north the the beach ) We arrived late at night and almost went past the place. As there was maint. on the driveway. The staff were great, they opened up the kitchen so we could have some tea. (it was almost 11pm) The pool is right beside the beach and is always very clean. the rooms are cleaned daily. very basic but you're not there to hang out in the room! There are mosquito nets provided to go over the beds which was great as it is impossible to keep the mosquitoes out! We had aircon which was adequate to cool the room. breakfast was ok. nothing fabulous. The restaurant on site is ok. The staff were very helpful in directing us to restaurants that were good in the area. Would highly recommend checking out Huong Vu the one further south. (there are 2) All in all a pleasant experience. you get more than you're paying for!

For cheap rates call the hotel directly. We paid $10usd a night. incl bfast.

Nice, simple, clean Bungalow (seaview available), pretty and quiet beach (if the neighbors don't jetski), there's not as much wind as in central mui ne, good and rich breakfast in the nice restaurant, beautiful garden and nice pool, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, location is great if you don't want to be in the center of the action - just rent a motorbike and you're only a few minutes away from the Restaurants and the Shops.
Good Price-Performance-Ratio.

The room prices may be 3-star's but the condition of the bungalows is worth about 1.5.

Five of us stayed in supposedly the best bungalows (with sea view) in the resort. As we had stayed in many hotels/resorts in Vietnam and elsewhere in the world, we were shocked when we walked into these supposedly 3-star bungalows. The bungalows were small with bare minimum furnishing. The bath rooms were dirty and smelly.
They did not provide even basic facilities such as soaps, shampoos, tooth brushes, etc. We had to ask for them. Towels were worn out, a bit like rags, suitable only for floor cleaning. There was no phone in the bungalows that we were in. Wifi service was slow and available only in public places in the front part of the resort. There were heaps of mosquitoes. We had to ask resort staff to put up the mosquitos nets and spray the bungalows every night.

We booked 2 nights directly with the resort. They charged us the first night on booking. When we arrived they insisted that we paid in advance for the second night. We had a heated argument with them after we saw the confitions of the bungalows. We could have walked out straight away, had they not already charged us the first night and knew our credit card number.

They are constructing a three-story building at the front part of the resort. So avoid the bugalows in that area unless you like the dust and noise from the construction activities.
Breakfast food is not that great. The restaurant in the next door resort, Canary resort, provides better foood, drinks and services. The resort location is near the fairy stream and about 10 minutes walk North from the Phuong Trang bus terminal. So it is a fair way from the centre of Mui Ne. To go to good eating places you have to take taxis.

The resort is a family business which is run by people who seem to be amateurish in the hospitality industry. So if you are looking for a hasle-free, relaxing holiday in a clean, friendly, professisonally run resort then you can give this resort a miss.

Room Tip: Avoid the bungalows at the front of the resort where construction is in progress. Also avoid the se...

We wanted a few days of rest and relaxation and certainly got it here. Our family had two of the three becah front rooms and they were great. The resort is set around a lovely garden but ask for rooms closest to the beach as there is building going on close to the road and while you cant' hear it at the back, it is noisy at the front of the resort. The resaurant is expensive and not that good but there are cheaper places over the road. It is a taxi ride (or bike ride) to the ATM and more restaurants but the advantage is that it is quiet and away from the karoke bars and noise. Good clean swimming pool and beach umbrellas. could do with cushions on the recliners but overall good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the beach.

We stayed there for 5 nights and from the first enquiry the staff were friendly and attentive. I had to pay a deposit upfront as it was a busy period and most hotels were booked out. The receptionist, Ms. Kim, text and phoned me with details about the money transfer. When we arrived it was late and we'd had a very long journey from Saigon but the staff were there to greet us and we were in our rooms within 5 minutes.
The rooms are clean and have everything you need; aircon, TV, minibar (reasonable prices), 2 double beds....the rooms on the right side as you walk in after the restaurant seem newer. There is a new part to the hotel being built on site but it's near the road so unless you go for the cheaper rooms (right opposite the construction site) you shouldn't be bothered by the noise.
The breakfast is basic but adequate and the same for the lunch.
It is a little bit out of the main strip (100.000vnd in a taxi) but peaceful and no booming music.
Nice little pool, a bit cold though, a nice beach area and great gardens. The massage place just outside on the beach do great inexpensive massages.
On the whole thank you Thai Hoa for a nice relaxing holiday!

Though they did not respond to our e-mail inquiry at all we went there anyway and they had a choice of two rooms available. As there's major construction going on (new restaurant) we opted to pay 15$ extra for the beach front bungalow and did not regret it as the sound of the surf adds to the experience. Unfortunately the "boys from next door" already start showing off their Jet-Ski's in an attempt to attract customers at 7am! The Wifi is available only in the first part of the resort so not at the pool or beach.
The pool and beach are wonderful though and if you don't mind a bit of exercise you can bicycle to the "red sand dunes". The food and juices served were excellent. Staff (including reception) could do with some more smiling. They're very keen on signatures so make sure everything on their room inventory list is actually there before you sign! Prices are much higher than the 2010 Lonely Planet quotes. Beware the re sort is not close to all the "action"in Mui Ne but we liked just that: peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Check out the beach front bungalow and consider the extra value yourself
