With Vietnam headed towards new construction and modernization everywhere, it's nice to have a look back at some of the ancient monuments. The Champa ruins at My Son are worth the visit and provide some pretty nice photo opportunities with lush greenery surrounding red brick ruins. The crowds can definitely get in the way, but try to see the outlying ruins when they're all at the main site and vice versa. The drive out to the ruins is also a fascinating look at the Central Vietnam countryside and worth the time to get out here.
