Spent 6 nights recently in a 2 bedroom residence with our 3 boys (3, 5 and 8). Booked the kids package which included transfers, breakfast and unlimited kids club. Travelled with another family which made up 9 of us in total. Went there as part of a Vietnam/SIngapore holiday.
Everything about the resort was at a high standard. The residence was beautifully furnished and very spacious and comfortable even for a family of 5. The ocean view from every window was unforgettable. House keeping (twice a day) was prompt and thorough. All the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful, but not intrusive.
The food was another highlight. From the scrumptious daily breakfast, to the poolside menu, to the unbelievable Italian buffet at the Green House, to the luxurious dinner by the beach at the Beach House. Everything surpassed our expectation. The variety offered allowed us to sample not only very high standard traditional vietnamese cruisine but also some of the best pastries and western style meals around. Even the kids menu offered a good variety. Services at the restuarants were exceptional. Not only did the staff remembered all our coffee and tea preferences, they also remember the names of the wine we ordered before. They knew all the kids' names which made them feel extra special.
Camp Hyatt (kids club) was very well set up, clean and well staffed. It offered books, craft, board games, Wii, movies, baby sleeping room and an enlcosed playground. The kids couldn't get enough of it. There's also a beach volley ball court, rock climbing wall, and 2 tennis courts for the boys to use up some of the excessive energy.
The pools were massive and very clean. Towels were offered as soon as we picked our chairs which there were many to choose from. The poolside chairs were well shaded. Loved the ginger infused iced tea which were also offered.
Check-in and check-out were efficient and the staff were very accommodating. Again, drinks were offered while we waited. The buggy ride was fun but walking the beautiful grounds was also a highlight. The gardens were well established and comprised of an amazing collection of tropical plants. The day spa is a must with very professional and helpful staff. The beach was lifeguard patrolled but it was too rough for swimming on the days we were there.
Depsite not being in the city of Danang, access to major attractions was very easy. The hotel coach to Hoi An was very useful and even a taxi trip back after dinner was easy. From the Hyatt, it's only a 15 minute walk to Marble Mountains. We also took a day trip via the train to Hue and taxi to the Danang train station was a breeze.
We are glad to have had the time to enjoy the resort and all it had to offer. It is only coming up to its first anniversary so there were still some rough edges that need sorting out. To their credit, all problems were dealt with and resolved with high level of professionalism, sometimes beyond expectation. In no way were we expecting everything to be faultless but the staff at Hyatt Danang managed to make our stay there perfect.
