“Wanna go again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2014

Superb spa resort! Especially the local concierge and spa staff who were friendly and had a great service attitude. Some went all out to meet all our additional requirements even though we did not really expect them to. The villas were amazing, the beach location was superb, and the overall spa experience was excellent. We are planning to return here again, if only we can get a reservation!

Just back from a 3-night stay at the Fusion Maia. Loved the quiet and chilled out ambience throughout the resort and the place is very well designed, with pretty touches at almost every corner.

The beach was definitely the highlight for me, very clean with powdery white sand and quiet and peaceful. I could lie on the cabanas all day and just enjoy the views of the sea. The pool was lovely too and quiet most of the times.

The pool villa was pretty nice, modern and spacious but perhaps just a mark down from the 5-star luxury you would expect. Would have preferred some kind of a privacy screen or partition between the bathroom and the rest of the room. The private pool was clean and larger than expected, perfect for morning swims. Housekeeping was good.

Service was not bad on the whole, though what let down the whole experience slightly was the spa centre. It was difficult to book spa appointments and the staff in charge of the bookings was stoney-faced and it felt like we were asking for a favor when actually the spa treatments are pretty much inbuilt into the cost of your stay. The natural living massage and warm therapy massage were very good but some of the other treatments were a hit and miss for us. We actually skipped a couple of treatments in the end as it was just not worth the hassle.

All in all a very relaxing stay and I would recommend this resort if you're looking for a quiet beach getaway, but don't expect too much from the spa treatments.

We stayed with our family together. The email communication was fantastic and the girl can handle all my queries promptly and effectively.

Room was ok, some of us stayed in three-bedroom villa. The swimming pool was huge enough for us to play around. But only one room is with master bedroom setting, 2 of the bedrooms were very small (more or less like guest bedroom) Housekeeping needs improvement, we have book for extra person but we always just get 2 set of ameities and on one day, our room was not set up even we return by 3pm after a tour. For others who stayed in indivdual room, they would recommend to have some electric curtain at the bathroom, because even couple would also love to have some privacy. The transparent windows seems a bit lack of transparency.

Breakfast was quite good. And we love the flexibity to have breakfast anywhere. We have one day set up our breakfast on the beach. Really lovely, nice breeze, good food but the food ordering take time. Food was good (though it was not consistent every time)

Spa logistics was a mess. maybe because it's complimentary, the therapist seems a bit tired. the amibence cannot give you the feel of relaxation. Everything seems to be in a rush. and Being having spa experience around the world, we would expect to have some private changing room rather than a public changing room. the skills level varied and not consistent. Some were good, some were bad. We requested to book the same therapist the other day and confirmed with the booking desk, but the next day, that was not fulfilled. If you ask me to sacrifice quality with price, I would rather pay extra to have more up-to-standard spa quality.

Upon check up, the duty manager came and asked for comments. We shared our views with her and she immediately feedback with the Resident Manager and I got the reply from them. I think it's good that the hotel has the intention to learn and to improve. Keep up the improvement and I hope to see them improve!

Wish them success in improving future service standard to make it a reall number 1 in Hoi An.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of our honeymoon wished that we had booked for longer! The food was beautiful, especially in the pool bar, staff were friendly, attentive but in no way intrusive. Our room was just gorgeous and the extensive range of spa treatments meant that we left more relaxed than I think we have ever been in our lives (certainly since children anyway!) shuttle bus up hoi an was a great service, all in all we can't recommend the place enough. Thank you fusion Maia

Beautiful resort with huge infinuty pool right on beach with golden sands and clear water for swimming. Plenty of loungers well managed by pool staff. Fabulous room (2brm/2 bathroom- each separated by large living area) with private pool and sitting area. Wonderful food- particularly at pool restaurant- very reasonable prices for a resort less than $5 for cocktail and some meals close to that. Spa treatments a bit variable and some a bit hurried and painful to book- took a very long time with lots of staring at the computer- you cant just book a time and decide on treatment later, However because of the time taken I suggest you take an hour on the first day and book for the rest of the week. You can change your mind later but there may not be the therapist available. DOnt choose the hair treatment - it is a hairwash. Others all pretty good. Lovely grounds. Shuttle to Hoi AN good although times not ideal for lunch or dinner - walk to the taxi drop off area if you want to go home early- 350K/$20US seems going rate. Laundry exorbitant $3 for undies- $1/kg in Hoi An- beautifully done. I''d come back here- its a great resort.

Many thanks for your review great to hear you enjoyed the fabulous villa and the food. Appreciate your feedback and comments on the resort. We do encourage guests to choose treatments when booking the appointment time as this allows us to be prepared and the treatment room set up when you arrive. We are also currently conducting training on our hair treatments for our team based on our guest feedback previously on expectations of this service, so hopefully you can experience this if you return to see us again. Good to hear you managed to visit Hoi An, we try and have a schedule that works for as many guests as possible which is always a challenge. Hope to see you again.

Excellent all round, staff were fantastic, spa treatments were amazing and free shuttle to Hoi An was a great extra. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this - particularly for a honeymoon or romantic break.
