“Lovely & Reasonably Priced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2009

Stayed for 4 days in Hoi An. Picking this hotel was a fluke and a pleasent suprise. Staff Excellent, couldnt be more helpful. Price for double room very reasonable for value. Somewhat close to town centre, say 7 mins walk. Can possibly be too far for some as they may be running from one tailor to another, to a shoe shop etc in the humidity. Can get tiring. Myself - no problems, girlfiriend a little, but that's what $1 taxis are for. Hires motorbikes. Good Pool.

This was recommended to us by the man who runs Jungle Beach. I was a bit dubious at first as I wanted somewhere that was comfortable with a decent swimming pool to hang out in and a bit more upmarket. However, even though it is a budget hotel, I have to say it was an excellent choice. Very laid back, incredibly friendly, helpful staff and a good location. Rooms are very spacious and cool, good place to access to old town (a bit of a walk but it is on a nice little stretch of road with some good tailors opposist), and a good place to cycle to the very lovley, clean beach (which strangely enough is not really mentioned in the Lonely Planet). The pool is an added bonus. Doesn't get much sun in the afternoon but in the heat, you don't really want that. Also you will be spending your time looking round the shops as getting tailor-made clothes for a very cheap price becomes quite addictive! Make sure you hire a bike a couple of times and ride to the beach and the ceramics village. Both lovely trips to take independently.

The hotel is very well placed for the 2 main attractions of Hoi An; the beach and the old town. A lady on the forecourt runs a bike hire business so if you fancy the gentle exertions of a 4 k trip to the excellent, very clean beach, she is on hand with a bike for the day for ten bob. The staff here will organise anything for you from a diving trip to your internal air tickets. Our room ,307,was very spacious and deliciously cool. The hotel is excellent value for money and you feel a bit more like a traveller than a tourist. We stayed for 8 nights .
The staff are its great strength. They combine a level of customer care and cheerfulnesss with just the right amount of leg pulling, which seems to be the characteristc of Vietnamese humour.
I strongly recommend this hotel. Pete Smith, Middlesbrough, UK

We enjoyed our stay here...... the front desk were helpful but did not always understand when asked certain things.
The rooms were large and super clean, the internet good, breakfast free and very nice. The restaurant food was good too.

A little bit of a walk to the old town but quite liked being a little out of the way.

We stayed here for 3 nights on out way south. restaurant at the front of the hotel served good, basic breakfasts, and we also had a couple of other meals there- prices were reasonable and the dishes were very good, great portions. The room was clean, with a balcony space. Bathroom was spacious compared to others experienced. Staff were friendly and were brilliant when I felt unwell for a couple of days due to the heat. Pool was nice but was mainly in the shade with only a couple of spots on the sun, great to cool off in though. Free internet in the lobby but was very slow and intermittent.

Good hotel with friendly staff- this is my second time at this hotel and I'm loving it here! The bicycle rental rates have dropped from 1 USD in June 2008 to 15 000 VND now. The staff here speak fluent English, and have established contacts with cheap hotels in Saigon, making my trip so much easier. And the air conditioning's cold enough to ward off the sweltering heat of the Vietnamese summer. Ambience of the room is good too. Finally, I like the location of the hotel( close to a few restaurants, the beach and the market. I bought fish at the Hoi An market back for the restaurant to cook- definitely an enriching and rewarding experience!) The only downside of staying at this hotel, though, is that there is a soccer court next to it, so sleep and rise early, lest you be woken up by the din from the daily soccer games commencing at 0530!

Stayed 3 nights at this well located hotel with excellent help and service from Kim Dung, the owner, her family and staff.
We had to change all our reservation arrangements due to a bone fracture! and Kim Dung was particularly helpful and prompt in dealing with all our requests and changes.
