“Perfect Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Very nice resort. Clean large room - we were in a pool side room. Nice beautiful grounds.Good breakfast with the usual buffet things. Good banana crepes. This is the first place in our 4 month trip in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam where you are not served coffee or tea at your table. No biggie but just interesting for how nice this resort is. Super friendly staff . Fresh fruit and water daily in the room . Pool area is very nice and comfy loungers , can order drinks from the pool bar. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant since there are so many choices in town. We had room service late one night , my husband had the burger and it was not very good- tasteless . The hotel is in the perfect location - not too far from town , a short 5 min walk. On your way to the bridge is a street market every night . Good wifi in room.We asked for a late checkout and were able to do this for free. Check in/out were fast.

They had to retain our passport on checking in and that made us uncomfortable. Excellent location walking distance to the Old Town, we stayed in this two levels cluster units, the frogs were croaking the whole night. Some quest were checking out at 4.00am, heavy footsteps, staff were dragging luggage on common corridor, very noisy. There is an excellent place for good, clean and reasonably priced local food on the right before the Lantern Bridge called "Nha Hang Cho Pho", must not miss the chicken rice. Vihn Hung Resort breakfast spread is good and most unusual is their "Countryside market" from 4 to 5 pm where quest can get to sample Vietnamese street food. For those into clothes, as you exits the resorts main entrance, the shop on your left does pants and suits very well and the one diagonally to the right does dresses very well.

Room Tip: Get individual villa units avoid multi-levels cluster units,

Surely one of the best situated hotels in Hoi An with a 5 minute walk or a short boat ride to the centre of town. The first impression of the hotel and room seemed a little dated with our room appearing dark with the wooden flooring and ceiling and far from luxurious bathroom but this hotel has other redeeming qualities. Apart from the location it has a great swimming pool, a good buffet breakfast, helpful and cheerful staff with a very enthusiastic manager. Morning coffee sitting by the river is very pleasurable and the afternoon food tasting is unique and delicious. Walking back to the hotel late at night from the town is safe and the local residents are very friendly, speaking of local residents if you require laundry to be done, moped hire, the purchase of wine and beer and a local entrepreneur to cater for all your needs try Mrs Thu straight across the road from the hotel entrance, trust me she is reliable and lovely. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, a very comfortable stay and superb value for money

My husband & I stayed here for 5 nights in a Superior Garden View Room (#201). The room was large, the king sized bed the most comfortable we have ever slept in. From our small balcony we could look at the main pool, the river, outside bar, pool table, gardens & the daily food markets set out on the grassed area beside the restaurant. We were entertained with lantern making, hands on cooking & a wonderful guitarist. A 5minute walk into the old part of Hoi An & all the great restaurants or a boat ride if tired of walking. The staff , in particular Ms Yang (english pronounciation) & Mr Raymond (manager) were so helpful and friendly. We used the local laundry across from the hotel to have washing & ironing done for $1.00/kilo. There is access to the internet in the Business Centre & a gym for those inclined. Breakfast could be had inside the restaurant or on the patio next to the river. Breakfast was the usual buffet but what more could you want than a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, toast, juice, tea/coffee, eggs any way you liked, bacon & asian type dishes. Wonderful!

Room Tip: Room 201 was perfectly placed to be part of everything. Do check the bed though. They are in the pro...

We spent five days at a beach resort hotel and stayed three days at Vinh Hung to really see and admire the old township, old styles of retailing and to try out the various types/styles of food. The Hotel's resort ambience is good, bed &room comfortable though the bathroom is a bit small. The staff services was attentive especially the Front Line personnel who will try to assist you to your satisfaction.Breakfast time was the best as you sit by the riverside to enjoy nature.
Another attraction of Vinh Hung Hotel was (and still is) their Vietnamese market food at 4-5 pm where you can taste the bite size food freely daily.A real wonderful idea.
Another attraction in this ancient town is their lantern night which is always on the 14th.night of the Chinese calendar where the riverside town is lighted up with all sorts of lanterns. You may purchase a lighted candle lantern, make your wish and whoosh it along the river. It is really a celebration and you will enjoy it. Try to make reservation at Al Frescoe restaurant and you can view/enjoy the food as well. Please check the Chinese calendar for the full moon(14th.night)

September 2012 stay.
Couldn't ask for more from this place - ticked all the boxes for our party of 4.
Nice walk into old Hoi An, comfortable cycle to the beach, or laze about on the resort.
Good rooms, ample pool, service was pretty good too.
Breakfast was average - capital A. Typical buffet fare that many of these places in this price range puts up.
Quirky afternoon "local market" stalls in the gardens in the afternoon, with "free" local-type snacks (for those too petrified about having street food).
We weren't happy with original room (window backed onto workers), fortunately wasn't a drama getting another.
Very happy with this place.

We just returned from Hoi An and enjoyed our stay at this lovely resort. It is a very relaxing and peaceful resort, with beautiful grounds and lovely staff. We had a very comfortable room overlooking the pool. We loved the pool and particularly the happy, accommodating staff who worked at the pool. The hotel is a short walk to the village, or else the complimentary boat is also available, which drops you in the village. We have nothing but praise for all the restaurants in the village (Cargo, Morning Glory, Green Mango), all outstanding food and service. Next time we are in Vietnam, we will focus the majority of our trip in Hoi An at this resort. Only disappointment was it was way too short!

Room Tip: I would try to get a river view room next time.
