“Tranquil retreat after a busy day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

Read the reviews and then booked. Close to the ancient town, markets, river and an easy bike ride to the beach. Good, friendly staff. HUGE choice at breakfast. Outside dining, under cover, was just great, for breakfast, late afternoon drink from the bar or dinner (although we didn't eat there). More like a home than a hotel. Courtyard facing rooms probably the best, especially on the second storey, if you don't mind stairs.

This was my second stay at this hotel.. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and quaint. Bathrooms are completely functional, a little bit quirky and have the most amazing toiletry selections. The breakfast buffet (which is included in the price) would rival any 5 star hotel. Staff are wonderful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble... and the location is perfect walking distance from the Old Town. We'll be back

Room Tip: Bottom level rooms overlooking the centre garden are the best options.

We stayed here after one night in Ho Chi Minh city and what a contrast! Peaceful, beautiful service, idyllic surroundings and the best breakfast we have known in any hotel anywhere. The garden is an oasis which is beautifully attended and the staff a delight.

You walk in from the street into a fairy tale: a lovely courtyard with various seating areas, indoor/outdoor restaurant with the best breakfast buffet on my whole Vietnam trip and a beautifully decorated room with French doors onto a tiny balcony and local-style furnishings, although the lock was a bit flimsy. Pure romance, except for the large but hard bed. Quiet at night. Cut flowers and daily replenished fruit basket, TV/computer with free Internet, in-room safe and tasteful furnishing/decorations, only the little fridge needs to be placed elsewhere (to allow free passage when sitting at computer) and covered with a wooden door (not to spoil the overall decorum). Everything is within walking distance: quaint old streets illuminated at night with lanterns, tucked-away temples and ancient family homes, little restaurants, riverfront market, tailors and shoe-makers galore. I hope to come back one day.

It is hard to fault the Ha An hotel, i only wish our stay had been longer. The staff could not have been more helpful, booking onward transport, local advice and general room upkeep. The breakfast was fantastic. If this hotel falls into your budget i would look no further.

You are no more than a five minute walk to the centre of Hoi An, bicycles are available free of charge from the hotel.

Great stay here in close to all attractions and restaurants, great room overlooking the garden from first floor. Room was full of roses. staff very helpful and pleasant. Bed a bit hard and air conditioner noises but did not detract.

We had such an amazing stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a view facing the courtyard garden ,,very comfortable beds, extremely clean rooms, both rooms had a security deposit box, complimentary fruit basket, TV that converts to computer screen, Dvds provided, good Wifi also, and a huge variety of breakfast choice. The staff were really lovely and very helpful, they gave us maps with the important things to see and the beach area.
The grounds had a lovely ambience.Lots of beautiful plants and shrubs, Our biggest regret was having to leave as we had only booked for 2 nights before moving on .Could quite easily have stayed a week to relax as we were visiting several regions but Hoi An is so laid back compared to the hustle and bustle of Ho chi Minh and Hanoi and is so pretty especially at night with the towns narrow streets lit up by many coloured lanterns . We ate by the waters edge ,with the lanterns across the bridge. Would definitely stay here again with no hesitation.

Room Tip: Any Rooms are good, all with high ceilings ,if you want just a shower or bath with shower attachment...
