“Focus on basics and you'll be ok”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

The place has clean rooms and bathrooms. An added feature of this place - it's got a clean swimming pool, if you find time away from heat and sun to swim that is! But it's there. Wifi is so-so; depending where your room is, we were on the ground floor and wifi was good for us. The restaurant was hardly a restaurant ... More like a makeshift kitchen. Its open for brekky & lunch only. Wouldn't recommend lunch there. Food is not up to the mark, and for the quality it's very expensive. Brekky is mostly included in the room rate - the omelette station is the only thing that was operational. Low choice ... The juice containers were too shabby, so we never had juice. The fresh cut fruit was good. But it got the job done - we stuck to omelettes, bread & bananas. Laundry is for 50000 VND for a kilo! Give it in the morning, ready by evening. They have a shuttle to take you to the city ... Taxi from city to hotel is about 40000 VND (10 min)

We spent a week here. Firstly it's a good value hotel, very cheap and therefore keep that in mind for all that follows.
The reception is efficient and the ladies are very friendly. There are three free to use internet connected computers by reception. There is Wifi throughout the building but it's pretty slow and hit and miss. I got the best results by sitting next to the router! The room is a decent size with Air Con (weak), the room would benefit from a fan. We live in Malaysia and even with the air con on full, you need a fan to really make a difference. The TV is old but has a good selection of channels. The bed was ok, not the most comfortable for my tastes. Room storage was sufficient. The shower room was OK as well.
For the price we paid all of this was fair. The swimming pool is very nice although not very big so if the hotel is busy you may not get a place around the pool.
We never had the breakfast so cannot comment on that.
Now, the bad stuff: Our room was very noisy, we could hear all noise from reception, and all night we could hear (inconsiderate) people talking loudly around our room, or using the stairs. This meant we were woken up throughout the night. The trip to town is around a 15 - 20 minute walk, which is fine except in the heat of the day or when it rains! There is a vehicle that will take you to and from the old town three times a day. But really to get the best out of this hotel, hire a bicycle or even better a motorbike. The beaches are much to far to walk to and the freedom of a bike will be well worth it. I hired a motorbike for just US$4 a day (70,000 VND). The beaches around this area are stunning, but even more is just some of the amazing countryside. Hoi An is a stunning area. The hotel is very good value for money. But, it might be worth spending a bit more for a place closer to town or on the beach. The choice is yours.

This is a brilliant place to stay if you're looking to relax on a visit to Hoi An. It is a 15-20 minute walk outside the town but there is a free shuttle bus in and out of town every hour. The staff are pleasant and the rooms are large and spotless with excellent air conditioning. The stand-out feature of this hotel is the pool. It would be very easy to pass an entire day there and never see the town itself. The restaurant, which overlooks the pool, serves the best spring rolls I've ever eaten. Service is a little slow so only eat here if not in a rush! There were 12 of us staying here and we were all sorry to be leaving after 3 days.

This was the very best place we stayed at in our month in Vietnam. We were upgraded to a villa room and it was stunning. Huge room with the best bathroom. Always plenty of hot water. The pool area was great, loved the breakfasts and the food generally at the restaurant was very good. The free shuttle into town worked really well and we used it daily. The walk is not to far but the shuttle back is very useful. We loved Hoi An and landed up staying 6 days.

We were really looking forward to staying in this hotel, but it was very far out of town...about a 20 minute walk. With bikes, it's great, but in the hot sun it's a hike!!!
We were disappointed with the breakfast, small selection of fruits, bread and egg. The room was very clean, air conditioning broke halfway through the night. We were a bit disappointed with the staff, not very helpful- seemed as though we were hassling them when we'd ask questions about the area, sites etc. Hotel cooking class is over priced, you can get much cheaper down the street at a restaurant. Internet was poor, couldn't do banking, facebook, only email. Hotel was nice, but run down. Free shuttle bus service into town was excellent.
20 minute bike ride to the beach which is great

Room Tip: We had twin beds, no offer of double. Doesn't bother us, but may bother some couples

we spent 2 nights in this hotel, and we found that it was great value: room was spacious and clean, we had a lovely view on the garden, and the breakfast was excellent.
The staff was helpful and friendly (except one person) and helped us with booking of a bus to Hue, as well as with some advice on what to see and where to go.
The highlight was the swimming pool, which is rather big compared to other hotels we've been to in Vietnam.

Room Tip: Rooms with a garder view are more quiet than the ones with pool view

This place was nice to stay at, decent room and service, the staff were not very friendly but we did not care about that, the pool was nice, the only thing we did not like the distance from the river and the city, it's really worth it to stay close to the city if you are in Hoi An. It is not the 20 minutes walk that bothered us, we love walking, but the walk is not that pleasant and you feel disconnected from the nice area, Hoi An is a very charming city and we loved it, it is a hot city so it is nice to go back to the room, chill, shower and go back again with this hotel is not that easy access and to go in and out you kinda end up wasting time going back and forth, but the price was right for the location, you get what you pay for... So next time I go to Hoi An, I will spend the extra $6 and stay in a place closer to the center of action :)
