My friend and I went on a wonderful bike tour with our guide when we visited Hoi An in August 2014. We rode through local farming communties, visited a fishing village which included a trip around the river on a boat and fishing for crabs and saw Hoi An's beautiful countryside. Our guide was very knowledgable and didn't mind stopping along the way to answer questions or help us take photos :-) I hadn't been on a bicycle in over 8 years and I found the pace and conditions of the ride perfect. I've already recommended these bike tours to a few friends and will continue to do so.
We took a cycling tour in the morning around 12 km (round trip) to the countryside, to Cam Thanh and come back through Tra Que Vegetable village. It's was amazing, relaxing, peaceful and breath-taking seeing the morning Hoi An. The Tra Que Vegatable Village is impressive with the "Three-friend spring roll" (Tam Huu). And you just need to wave your hands through vegetable and it smell so so good that you just want to eat immediately.
This is a new and enjoyable experience for me and I love it so much.
We had booked one day cycling tour to Hoi An countryside. We really worried for the weather one day before starting tour. our worry was vanished when Vu - tour guide come and take us to vegetable farm, pottery village...it was really awesome bicycle tour to see the real of Vietnam. thank you Vu - friendly guide in Hoi An.
Started the tour from our Resort and headed toward Hoi An. Went through our guide's hometown, through rice growing areas and onto a local fishing village. Went down river in traditional round fishing vessels & caught some crabs. Back on the bikes & off to the ferry terminal in Hoi An to visit traditional carving village on the Island - amazing to watch the skill of carvers and see where pearl inlay into furniture designed and carved - very labour intensive and a dying skill. Our guide kept us peddling at a pace that was comfortable for those of us who hadn't been on a bike since school days! Vu, our tour guide, was awesome and we would recommend him and this tour if you are lucky enough to spend time in Hoi An.
Me and my boyfriend signed up for the afternoon tour and we were the only ones that say so ended up with a private tour! It was a brilliant day out extremely funny! Lovely to met some of the locals along the way and the basket boat was so funny! Would recommend to anyone...very reasonably priced day
Dear Aoife !
I am Tony .The owner of hoiancycleyours .I am very glad to hearing you enjoyed the tours ..Our team very highly appreciate your good feedback .Thank you very much
This is the only way to see all that Hoi An has to offer. Walking is best. All you need is a map of the ancient town of Hoi An from the tourist office (78 Le Loi St) - email ttvhtt@dng.vnn.vn - and go for it. There is so much history to see, it is wonderful just walking the streets and alley ways seeing daily life; the interesting architecture which has Japanese, Chinese and French influences, and; experiencing the very old houses of Hoi An. There are no cars in the ancient city - just motor bikes and push bikes. Like any Asian city there are motor bikes everywhere so be careful when crossing the streets. It seems like chaos but actually there is order in the chaos! You don't have to do the adventure all at once - you can take your time over several days.
