“Luxury rest in a delightful town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2012

I worked in Quang Ngai for 2 difficult weeks. We took the middle weekend to travel north to Hoi An, about 3 hours drive. Hoi An is a fun place to walk and shop, with beautiful beaches on the China Sea.
The Phu Thinh 2 Hotel is a walk from downtown and a beautiful place to stay. There are mosquito nets over the beds, which although we never saw a mosquito, were a unique and elegant experience to sleep under. There is a clean and warm swimming pool, gardens with walking paths, massage person, a bar, and wonderful restaurant next to a river covered with flowering lily pads. The included breakfast was a wonderful spread that matched that of any 5 star hotel. Bicycles available for about US$1/day. This is an affordable and romantic getaway for anyone.

Room Tip: No elevator, so ask for ground level room if you have trouble with stairs.

Great hotel in lovely Hoi An - comfortable rooms, lush & well-tended gardens including a pool, a covered outdoor eating area to die for, looking out over a water-lily covered large pond, in easy cycling distance of the old quarter - what are you waiting for?

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the garden if possible - at the back. Rooms at the side have more limited...

Phu thinh 2 hotel is about 20 minutes walk outside the old center of hoi an. rooms are big with aircon fan and tv. furniture is old and the rug looked a bit disgusting. as there is no safe in the room you have to deposit your valuables at the reception. This was the only hotel during our 3 weeks tour in vietnam where we did not feel welcome. staff is unfriendly and not interested in helping. We got the impression that customers are enerving. recommendations for cooking classes and tailors are not in the interest of the customer as we found much better offers on our own. breakfast is uninterresting and we suspect low hygiene.

We stayed here for 4 nights the hotel was clean and the location fairly good only been a 30min walk in to the town. The staff were unfriendly some were downright rude the reception staff were uninterested in helping and we were barely tolerated. In all the hotels we have stayed in all over the world ths is the first time I have given a bad review find somewhere better. Watch the food as I ended up with bad stomach after eating some f the buffet breakfast.

After spending 1 night in a damp smelly hotel room for our 1st night in hoi an we were determined to find a clean place with dry comfy beds which seemed an impossible feat after looking all over hoi an.
We finally found the phu thinth and while it wasnt anything over the top amazing it has clean dry beds that didn't smell like mould which was a relief.
The staff is nice enough, the grounds are quite pretty- lovely tranquil areas to relax in, and the pool area is inviting...would have enjoyed that all the more if it has been hotter.
We paid $40 a night for a room with 3 people, 2 double beds, including buffet breakfast (nothing amazing but nice addition). All in all I was happy with our choice.
Oh and good location. Rented bikes for $1 from the hotel and made it all the easier and faster to get around.

Exceptional value for money, very clean, great outdoor place to have breakfast, no traffic or other noise, but the most important thing is the staff were fantastic - friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended!

Have stayed here three nights and except for some design flaws which seem to magnify the adverse behaviours of some guests the motel provided decent lodgeings, good buffet breakfast and generally friendly staff service. Rooms are well equiped although suffer from moist musty smells.
Centrally located and easy walk to all tourist services motel is an affordable option.
