“Unforgettable and Delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2010

Checking out today after spending a marvelous week at the Cua Dai. Rented a new motorbike across street from the hotel. Corner room on front of second floor was a joy. Staff attempted to put me in first floor room facing a wall on the side but gladly moved me upstairs at my request. Love my room. Hotel is small and intimate and the front desk staff, "Thanh" and "Duan" made my stay a pleasure. These two wonderful people are "always there" for your every request. Breakfast around the pool in the morning (included) is scrumptious and served with smiles and eggs to order, and the freshest chocolate croissants. Bacon, ham, pancakes to order, everything perfect! Taxis are called by the front desk on request and are clean and cheap. This hotel is located five minutes from downtown (a short walk) and ten minutes continuing out the road to the Beach. The An Bang Beach is the best I have seen in my travels. I will be back to the Cua Dai Hotel soon.

Perfect to relax, close enough to walk to the restaurants and market inthe old town, small enough for staff to recognise and acknowledge all the guests. The breakfast room by the the pool was special. The staff prepare the rice noodle fopr your morning pho on the spot. If like us you want to escape the big resort hotels this is certainly worth the experience. Great value - a deluxe room was under $US50. The price reflects certain elements such as the age of the bathrooms but the water is always hot and the aircon works. Free use of internet.

We stayed at the hotel 2 weeks ago and the hotel was one of the reasons that our stay in Hoi An was beautifull.
The ambiance, service and rooms (a superior) were great..
Everybody is so friendly and always with a real smile.
Breakfast had everything we needed and, I believe, much more then you would expect in this price-range. (so not only toast, marmelade and coffee).
Location is alo perfect as you don't expierence any stretnoice at night and only a 20 min. bikeride to the beach.

I chose this hotel based on other Tripadvisor reviews and I definitely made the right decision. The hotel is more like a big house (than a hotel) with tiled floor, a nice, flowing breeze and a wonderful swimming pool in the back. There are two or three computers in the little lobby for guest to access free wifi. I booked a superior room for $35, breakfast included, which had the best chocolate croissants I have ever had in my life! The breakfast was served poolside with cooked to order eggs and amazing pastries and breads.

Ana runs the hotel and she was so sweet. She gave me directions to town and information for renting a bike, which I would suggest to everyone. There is a bike rental across the street and to the left where you can rent a bike fo r afew hours or all day. It is a great way to see Hoi An without ruining your feet by walking everywhere. When coming out of the hotel, turn to your right for the main area of Hoi An, or if you turn to your left, you will see more of the country side with rice fields, local houses and all ofthe children riding their bikes to/from school.

Hoi An is known for fabric and getting clothing made inexpensively, but you probably didn't know if also known for the most amazing foot massages! There are several "spa like" places offering a 90 minute foot massage for about $10 (includes wonderful iced tea).

The Cua Dai Hotel is about a 10 minute bike ride from the heart of town or a good 25 minute walk. Although, it's on a busy road, it's actually very quiet inside. The staff are very nice and i think it's a great gem of a hotel in Hoi An.

We stayed for 5 nights , this was our first Vietnam trip and following reviews on Tripadvisor. Our room was large, comfy bed, quiet , we slept well. Breakfast was excellent, cooked when we wished and served in the garden, by the beautiful pool. The location was in easy walking distance for the old town and plenty of good eating nearby. We rented pushbikes for getting to the beach, and one day rented electric bikes to look at the countryside. There was plenty to see and do , and would love to go again.

We had arranged a pick up from Da Nang train station through the hotel and we were duly picked up on time & without any hitches!

The rooms we stayed in was spacious, clean, had AC, tea/coffee making facilities along with a mini bar (with reasonable prices). The bathroom was great size too.
The hotel is on the road down to the beach, it is around a ten minute walk into the centre of Hoi An and around 3km to the beach. The easiest way to travel is to hire a bike (we went up towards Hoi An to the bakery on the same side as the hotel to hire the bikes for 20,000 VND per day) the guy at the bakery was really helpful and had brand new bikes!

It is safe to ride the bikes down to the beach (I even has an 8 year old on the back of my bike!!) There is a safe & secure parking lot for the bikes just before you get to the beach it cost 5,000 VND per day to keep your bike there.

The staff at the Cua Dai are friendly, the resturant provides a brilliant breakfast ( the best we had on our travels through Vietnam) great selection & the staff ensured you had everything you needed. You can order food and drinks for part of the day (which comes from a local resturant - linked to the hotel) the food was very good.

Free internet access in the hotel which was welcomed by us.

Good swimming pool that remains quite for much of the day. Use of pool towels rather than having to take your own or use the ones out of your rooms!

Nothing too much trouble for the staff to help you. Would use these hotel again if I return to Hoi An.

We loved this hotel as the rooms and the house itself had so much character. We were upgraded to one of bigger rooms downstairs which was beautifully furnished in an elegant and traditional style with huge bathroom. The breakfast out in the back garden was a real treat with the most lovely friendly staff you could ever hope to meet, we spent each morning teaching each other Vietnamese and English and somehow managing to communicate - often with much laughter. really delightful staff and hotel - strongly recommended.
