Cua Dai is around a 10 minute stroll from the centre of Hoi An. We were there just after the typhoon flooding receeded and you couldn't tell that there had been flooding at all. We had deluxe rooms for only $45 / night. They were more like 1 bedroom apartments - a generous bedroom, living room and bathroom. Great air conditioning and fans kept the rooms very cool during the heat. Bottled water and fruit were supplied daily which was a lovely touch. The pool was fantastic, as it got quite hot during the day. Breakfast was quite basic, you could see the french influence but adequate.
The hotel staff were very helpful in assisting us to book a day at the Red Bridge cooking school - highly recommended! Internet was also free to use in the lobby.
Cua Dai also recommended the best and cheapest restaurant of our whole trip the Mermaid! AMAZING - make sure you try the banana fritters and stuffed squid!
I would definately recommend Cua Dai for your stay in Hoi An.
