“Great Town, Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

If you're touring Vietnam, make sure you go to Hoi An, and while you're there you could do a lot worse than staying at the Cua Dai. I stayed here for a couple of nights during an Intrepid tour. The room was fine clean, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was fantastic, the pool was excellent and the staff were friendly. One morning, the shower tap stopped working. We complained on our way out and when we returned a few hours later, they had replaced the whole shower unit. Great service! Great value for money. All those on the tour who I spoke to liked it, although one minor gripe was that someone had a "pretend" window in his room.

“Breakfast and pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Cai Dai Hotel is just a nice walk from the center of Hoi An and aside from a very nice garden, it has potentially everything to guarantee a nice stay. You'll find some small and fresh breakfast, fresh fruit is served in your room every day, the pool is big enough to float away the busy day and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
At the same time the hands who clean the rooms talk all the time, from 6 a.m. on and the hotel is supernoisy, it seems like you're sleeping right next to the road. We had an OK stay there, though, and they also do tours and everything else, if you'd want to.

Room Tip: The Deluxe Rooms are the better bargain: they're really large and have windows.

“nice little hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

close enough to the town and shops and not too far from the river, market and good restaurants. Also within a cycle ride of the beach. There is a guy right opposite who hires bikes for the equivalent of £1 a day. Great value, but dodgy brakes!

Rooms are lovely with big mosquito bets over the beds, which to be honest, are needed!

Nice little pool, and breakfast is served by the pool. Breakfast is good with some offerings being cooked to order in front of you.

All round nice hotel. Even has a few watchable TV channels.

would use again.

“Good location, amazing breakfast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

We booked late but this place was great. The breakfast was the best of anywhere on our trip, I have never had pan au chocolate with so much chocolate! The girls make great omelettes and special viet brekkies too if you order it. Our room was massive but unfortunately quite damp. When we left all our clothes were damp and smelled weird. The room always had a strong damp smell but we didn't see any mould. It's pretty close to town, about 5-10 mins walk but there's restaurants and shops the whole way. We walked back and forth two or three times a day with no trouble. Good exercise because we stuffed ourselves silly at breakfast and the food in hoian was better than anywhere else in Vietnam! We ate so much!
Overall we would stay here again. Maybe it was just our room with the damp problem?

“Stay away !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Worst hotel stayed since the beginning of our trip.
Breakfast was small nothing special
Staff were nice but unable to provide a different room when we requested one.
Our room was good size, deluxe, with pool side, on first floor , that was bonus, the down side, s the room stank! Smelled poison and fish, we asked for a another room but they said no room available, so gave us encent to burn constantly, I later understood it was no room available in our price range cause when I walked around I saw a few empty ones. The bathroom and shower needs a refurb. The worst was the noise for Ac unit, never heard something so loud! And to top it off, during the nights there were very loud annoying noises coming from the walls, like something was alive inside of them! Location is as other say, between old town and beach

Never again
