“A lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

I feel a little harsh only giving this place a very good review. The problem is, hotels in Vietnam are so good that I really noticed even the smallest flaw!

The room was lovely - huge bed, bath and separate shower, a/c. The pool was very nice too.

The main downside was location. It was too far to walk to town so the loan bikes were a nice idea - except every one we borrowed seemed to have a problem with the lock, stand or seat. The better restaurants are also in town so taxis were needed every evening in each direction - and getting a taxi could be problematic, especially if it rained.

The other downside was breakfast - the pho was good but it didn't measure up to other hotels we'd stayed at. It did improve when we asked for extra herbs!

Overall, this place really is very good but not quite perfect.

For a boutique hotel, this place measures up. Very large, clean rooms with a veranda overlooking the garden and pool area offers everything required.

It's a short bike ride to the old town, and tranquility in the garden and pool area when you return at the of your day at the beach or exploring. The hosts and staff are very attentive, and as a solo traveller, paid particular attention to my daily itinerary. Convenient pick-up at the train station, despite the train being 2 hours late arriving, and airport departure.

Room Tip: I stayed on the second floor and liked the veranda. For those planning to make use of the pool, I...

This was my second time staying here and I stayed 4 nights to recover from our weeks of travelling , this Villa is a family run business that treats you like part of it ,warm friendly smiles and very accommodating, the breakfast is as much as you want basically and you wont leave hungry ,its a very tranquil and relaxing environment. .
I think it is ideally situated between the old town and the beach approx half way and they have free bicycles to get around also the the rooms are huge ,tasteful and very clean with cable TV , and tea, coffee making facilities ,thanks Be and Anh at reception for helping us out with all our needs, the place runs like clockwork with you ,its around $15-$18 for a taxi from Danang airport to the Hoi An garden Villa's or you can catch a shuttle bus for around $110,000 Dong on the main street. If I come back to Hoi An again this will be my place to stay, no doubt about it.Thanks to all for your hospitality,If you want a great massage head towards the beach after the bridge on the right hand side go to Green Spa say hi from Anthony..

Room Tip: stayed in room 102 was fantastic ,but I think all good .

We stayed at the Hoi An Garden Villas for 3 nights and were not disappointed! The rooms are lovely for the price, especially the bathrooms. And the staff very friendly. The included breakfast is 3 courses, which is well worth it!

Although it is a little out of the main action of the town centre, the hotel lends out bicycles free of charge! (And it's only a 15min leisurely ride into town). It really adds to the experience being able to ride through the streets of Hoi An, between all the shops. Everyone else seems to be doing it too!

The only hiccup we experienced was when we asked the hotel staff to recommend a massage/beauty spa. When we arrived at the place they'd suggested (very enthusiastically) it was empty, out of town and quite dodgy looking. The staff instantly jumped on us, knowing that "my friend recommended us to you". Instead we opted for a lonely planet reviewed spa, and the difference was very noticeable!

Overall, the Hoi An Garden Villas was a great place to stay. We're backpackers, but it would be very suitable for families and couples.
