“Great staff, great place, great value.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

Located in a side street off the busy main road which leads into Hoi An, Botanic Garden homestay is a great place to stay. We took a two bedroom ground floor apartment next to the small swimming pool. Both rooms had bathrooms and the place was roomy, clean and very well appointed with both a sitting room and kitchen.
The grounds are full of plants and trees giving an aura of peace and tranquility
But it is the staff that make this place such a joy to visit. Ever smiling, helpful and courteous, especially the vivacious Kitty.

The provision of free bicycles makes the trip into town or beach quick and easy and the bikes are plentiful and well maintained.

Do yourselves a favour and stay here it is great value for money.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be great, and most have an outside patio area to sit in.

A friend recommnded this place and we enjoyed it very much. The grounds were not large but chock full of plants - hence the botanic garden of the name. I may have asked for a slightly larger room because i did not see much of a difference between that and a standard room but the unit was huge - 2 bedrooms (each with its own bath), a living room and a kitchen. Bikes were made available which was helpful, as the hotel was about a 20 minute ride from the old town. The ride itself was pleasant. In fact, heaing out of the hotel in one direction took you downtown and the other direction took you to the beach. The breakfasts were very good and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. It turned out to be too cool for me to use the pool.

Room Tip: Go for a superior room and enjoy the space.

Our family had a great stay with the lovely people of Botanic Garden. They really looked after us and our two kids. Every morning for breakfast they would take the baby around the grounds so that we had time to eat, hands on and really helpful! Our smallest one had his 1st birthday there and they brought as a gorgeous cake and chocolates for his brother which was really nice of them. The location is great, between the beach and the town, so hiring a moped was a good alternative but also they have free bikes with children seats on which really helped us out. The room was huge and really comfortable. The only problem was the shower was over a bath with no curtain so the whole bathroom became a wet room but a minor point. We loved Hoi An and we loved Kitty and all the other staff - will stay again next time we are in Hoi An.

The Homestay is nice very nice decorated and friendly and very helpful staff. The room was nice an equipped with a fridge, instantcoffe, 2 bottles of water and a water cooker. Bathroom was big enough, hot water perfectly working. Wifi good and fast (free).I'll definitely be back to On On if I return to Hoi An in the future.

Recommended by Sharon's friend who stays there quite regularly. Standard of room excellent and the towels were just amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was simple but adequate. Free bicycles which came in handy to get to and from the beach. Pool very welcoming after hot ride back from beach. Nice to have laundry service on site.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014 via mobile

We reserved with our family of five the "100 m2", two bedrooms bungalow. They gave is two separate rooms, without kitchenette and livingroom. After i asked of alle rooms were like this THE receptionist said "yes". I walked around and found THE Floor we booked and showed her our reservation. Thans finally with a grumpy face we were given what we booked for and had to bring most of THE luggage down by ourselves.
THE ext.ra bed that we asked for and phoned about the day before arrival wasnt there. Also the microwave to warm up the milk for our son and the cooker werent there. It took us whole afternoon and evening to get everything. We read before that they did this before but still we were unhappily surprised. À very bad start of what we hoped was à small paradise, our first small holiday as à family in à year.
The Botanic is à garden with four houses of two floors. Downstairs the two bed "bungalows", of about 8 by 9 meters, separated in two small bedrooms with small and old fashioned not clean bathroom, à small poor equipped kitchenette and à small living corner. The swimmingpool is about 25m2 containing 40 cm of water. The garden is nice and has cosy lights in the evening. Breakfast is allright but not more than that and has to be taken at the reception. Bikes are there for al guests for free. The kitchen and cleaning staff are kind but the receptionist with the glasses is nt. Four days no smile and heart. We would-nt book this again, for 65$ You can find better and more important, more warm hearted.
