“A fabulous fun and informative class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

My son and I had a private cooking class organized on the spur of the moment. I rang the school and 2 hours later we were picked up from our hotel to attend the class at our chosen time. We then rode bicycles to tour and shop at the local market - really out of the way meaning we were the only tourists there - awesome! Ho entertained us with his exuberant personality, showing us unusual things and advising us on how to choose the freshest produce. We then headed back to cook our 4 chosen dishes. We cooked crispy pancakes, spring rolls, pho and lemongrass and chilli chicken. They were all easy and enjoyable to cook. Vina, our teacher, was sweet, engaging and hilarious, with little songs to accompany our antics along the way. We had so much food to eat and it was all soooo delicious! We then had the opportunity to buy reasonably priced items such as an apron $6, a super sharp knife $6 and the cooking chopsticks @ 2 pairs for $1. This was an outstanding personalised experience not to be missed in the gorgeous Hoi An.

“A must do in Hoi An!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

My husband and I went to Hanh's cooking school today and it was one of the highlights of our whole trip to vietnam. Both ladies are so friendly and welcome you into their home. The classes are run professionally and are such great fun. We loved the singalong songs to pretty much everything. We will definitely be recommending to our friends and family to do this when they visit hoi an as the experience is really well priced. We cooked 4 courses and were there about 2 1/2 hrs plus bought drinks, the cookbook, cooking chop sticks and it only cost us $50 australian for the 2 of us, plus you eat all the great food you cook. Thank you so much, the food is soooooo delicious and we can't wait to cook it for our family and friends when we get home.

“Cooking Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

We - a mix of adults and children, had a fantastic time with Hanh. She took us to the busy markets & explained what to look for when buying the produce. Then it was back to the cookery school to start the fun. We all had our own place to work at the table, following Hanh's instructions. It really was so easy. Very quickly the preparation was done and the cooking began. Everyone had turns to add, stir, mix, etc & then the best part - eating our own freshly prepared meal. Yummy. Oh, and Hanh just loves to break out in a song whilst showing us what to do, had us all laughing & joining in. Highly recommended.

“Super friendly staff and very interactive!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

We were collected from our hotel by Ho who took us for a tour through the markets and quizzed us on our food knowledge! It was great fun! He also let us try a few things we hadn't since being in Vietnam.
After buying a few things we headed to the goian school where we met our teacher. She was very lovely and got us to do most of the work (as a cooking class should be!) we made the spring rolls, green papaya salad, pho bo and white tuna on banana leaf! Everything was delicious. Needless to say we had fun!
