“Great setting and great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We decided to eat here as we were staying across the road. We ate the local specialties and thought the food was excellent and some of the best we have eaten in Vietnam to date. The setting is great and the service is relaxed, friendly and unrushed. A perfect place for a romantic dinner.

“A gem. DELICIOUS food and wonderful setting.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

I was staying down to road so on my first night decided to eat here planning to go further afield on other nights. Not so. I have eaten here several times now and have LOVED every dish ordered. The flavours are just amazing. Fish in Banana-Leaf was exceptional as was the Slow cooked Pork in Clay-pot. I aslo ate, each time, a smaller dish [eg Banh Beo] and they were delicious morsels, full of flavour but not over-powering. The setting right on the river is just gorgeous and its open-air giving a great atmosphere. Waiting staff are lovely - tho when wanting to order a second dish or drink I did need to chase them.... but they cheefully responded. I loved eating here and with 2 alcoholic drinks incl and what I call 2 courses usually spent about $13-$15 US total.

“Fantastic location and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

We stopped off at this restaurant for lunch whilst out cycling and what a little gem we found. The Trip advisor board outside the hotel caught our attention as well as the delightful riverside location. We sat down at a table next to the river and started with the fried spring rolls based on an old recipe - best we have tasted by a mile in our trip to Vietnam. The chicken in a clay pot and the large prawns in garlic butter that followed just put me in food heaven - simple but quite simply perfect. One not to be missed !

“nice environment.”

Great views, nice ambient.

Good place to sit for hours sipping coffee or tea or have your lunch, just to enjoy the ambience surrounded rivers, paddy fields, etc.

“Best food ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Love it, love it, love it. We visited this amazing restaurant on a ride back from Cu Dai beach. What a find! It is in an idyllic setting, perched over the river and it is so relaxing sitting back enjoying the scenery and the serenity.
We ordered everything from the specialties section and were not disappointed by any of the dishes. The crispy spring rolls had a lovely shredded coating and were by far the best we ate in Vietnam. The waitress was extremely friendly and even demonstrated what to do with the crispy wanton (and then proceeded to feed my friend!)
The drinks came out in the most unusual jars and the fresh juices were delicious.
Mr Tan came over and spoke to us and is obviously proud of his restaurant.
Yhis one should not be missed in a visit to Hoi An.
