“The Best Value for Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This restaurant always had queues outside and the staff seemed rushed off their feet. It looked like chaos.BUT...appearances can be deceptive and if it was a little chaotic it was organised chaos!
The main thing is you have to book if you want to have dinner there. If yiou are a couple, try to get a seat on the balcony.
Although it was always busy, unbelievably the staff did not rush you. And when it came, the food was excellent. Really unusual dishes, full of flavour and feeling very healthy. Try some of the hot drinks (old remedies for common ailments like sore throat, cough etc), they really seem to work.
The biggest surprise of our evening was the bill. We couldn't believe how cheap our meal had been. Given that many of the restaurants in Hoi An are overpriced, it is good to see some honest pricing going on.

“Great food, careless service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

We were very excited about dining at Morning Glory but unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, but we were pretty much ignored by the staff. Certainly, it was busy, but the food next door at Family restaurant was just as good with amazing service. There are just too many good places here to let standards slip.

“Great busy atmosphere and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This is a very popular restaurant and we were glad we booked. We had a decent meal, good mango salad, sea bass was ok (not convinced it was sea bass, it was too thick a steak), decent prawn curry and a couple of beers.

Service was nice but I agree with other reviewers that they were after turn over. Prices ok but we did eat better food in other restaurants which were cheaper, some were very quiet though so it is a bit of a trade off!

“Big, busy restaurant with great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

I'm usually nervous about eating at places that have large upstairs dining areas with lots of big long tables, because it's hard to imagine serving really good food to large tour groups. But we snagged an table for two on the balcony upstairs (great view) and had a wonderful lunch. (We hadn't been able to get a dinner reservation the night before.) Delicious, fresh food and attentive service.

“One of many fantastic restaurants in Hoi An”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

There are a large number of great restaurants in Hoi An, and we tried as many as we could. However, this place has been highly recommended in pretty much every guide book and website going so we wanted to give it a try.

Morning Glory is a little more expensive than the others, but still cheap by UK and Middle East standards. We were delighted that the food did live indeed up to the billing.

The only problem is that this small restaurant is very popular and will require an early booking for dinner. On two occasions we were told they were fully booked that evening by mid-afternoon. Therefore we went there for lunch. It was far less busy and all the dishes we had really were delicious.

Deserves its reputation. You won't be disappointed.
