“Perfect welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

We loved this hotel. Situated between the beach and the town with taxis available within seconds, the location was fine. The pool was clean and inviting; a great breakfast with good choice; the room large and well-equipped with a lovely shower and all set in a beautiful garden full of orchids. What made this place special though was the friendliness of the staff and the welcoming, helpful attitude from everyone: reception, kitchen staff, cleaners and the friendly guy who carried our bags. We were also invited for dinner where we got to know our fellow guests. We live in Hanoi and will definitely bring all our visitors here.

Room Tip: I had a large room on first floor with everything I needed including comfortable bed and very nice s...

Would rate this homestay as 10/10, very nice and very helpful staff. Treated us to a free dinner amongst other guests which was really nice. The pool is also really nice lit up by lanterns at night. Located perfectly, 5 minute taxi ride 30,000 dong from the centre of Hoi An. Had a great relaxing time and will especially miss the happy excited porter.
Thanks Ruby and the team

Absolutely would rate this property a 10 out of 10. The family treat you like your a part of their royal family. This is my second stay at this Homestay and would not consider staying anywhere else. We booked for 4 days but stayed 7 as we loved every minute here but sadly needed to move on. I have travelled extensively through South East Asia and I would rate this property as the best value for money. The rooms were spacious with a separate living room, two bathrooms and toilets, one been outside with a deep bath. Hairdryer, bath gels etc and fluffy towels. Comfortable King size bed with white fresh sheets daily. Laptop computer with free internet in room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Woops if you like to cook yourself then you have a mini kitchenette as well. Breakfast is free and plentiful and as an amazing gesture the owners invite the guests to a family Vietnamese dinner. I could not leave out the pool, small but spotless, refreshing and inviting. The location is perfect as there are Free bikes to wander into the city or to the beach.Loved taking photo's of the beautiful orchids around the property that the owner lovingly attends to. We happened to be in Hoi An when there was a Typhoon and the owners made sure we were safe and ensuring that we had transport at 4am to the airport. Thanks a bunch

Room Tip: We stayed in the new building which was quite special

Wonderful hotel that perfectly captured everything that's great about Hoi An. Charming staff/family that owns this place. The rooms are clean and nice (my room did not have a western-style shower, though), and the property is lovely - pool included. The family is so friendly and welcoming - they even had a complimentary Central Vietnamese dinner one night for all the guests. I made the mistake of getting a standard room rather than the Bungalow, which was so much bigger and more "home-like" than the standard room. Only small drawback about this place is that the location is halfway between the main part of town and the beaches, but Orchid Garden offers free bicycles which make for easy access to both.

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay at Orchid Garden tremendously. Mimi was super friendly and helpful as were the other staff. They helped book our tours and transportation and have advise around the town.
Breakfast was homemade selection rather than buffet style which was also a nice, enjoyable touch.
Only slight issue at check out when we didn't realise they preferred cash, we were expecting to pay by credit card, but it wasn't sorted relatively quickly!

Pretty little hotel, in the middle of upgrading its rooms. This meant that we got a free upgrade to a suite, which was massive and finished to a high standard. It felt rather echoy though as there wasn’t much furniture! A nice feature was that it had two bathrooms – one of them outdoors, so you could shower and get a sun tan at the same time! Noise from the builders started around 7am but wasn’t too disturbing, although it did mean we didn’t want to use the pool. Breakfast was ok – basically eggs and bread or cereal. The lady on reception was really helpful, and booked us a taxi to Danang for 400,000 dong, which is probably a bit over the best rate. Only problem with this hotel is is that it’s a 40 min walk from town (and I’m a fast walker!), there are free bikes but we didn’t want to take them around town with us and were worried about locking them up. I’d definitely stay here if you’re looking for somewhere in between the beach (which is actually pretty nice) and the beautiful town.

The owners of this delightful place really know how to put the "home" into "homestay"even to the extent of cooking a wonderful meal of local specialties for their guests for free once a week. Nothing was too much bother, they even offered to move us because of some construction work being undertaken and were worried the noise would bother us. Mimi and Hanh are huge assets to the business and always had a smile on their faces. The super friendly hosts even presented us with a small gift on our departure which was so special. The homestay is a refreshing change from souless hotel rooms and we really felt part of the family.
