After being greeted at my hotel with a bicycle, My guide and I cycled to the market. We were told a lot about the different types of fruit, vegetables and spices!
Off to Tra Que, which was a beautiful ride, stopping for photo opportunities on the way until we reached waterwheel. This family run farm is in the middle of the herb village.
Welcome drinks and then a lesson in the herbs and farming, back for a foot soak in herbal water and some info on rice paper making later we were in our chefs hats.
Soooo much food! Amazing teaching from the staff who all spoke fab English!
All the dishes were great, 3 friends, papaya salad with seafood, Vietnamese pancakes and traditional fish in banana leaf! Followed by fruit we picked at the market! Stuffed!
Fabulously friendly, hospitable, great teachers and a beautiful setting. Many cooking classes are in the town but the setting makes the class, along with the people.
Everyone should do this when in hoi an.
