“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The hotel is in a great location, handy to great shopping and restaurants. The rooftop pool is a great way to cool off after a busy day.
Free Wifi and computers available in the foyer. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: There are no lifts in the hotel, so if you don't like or can't use stairs you'll need a...

I stayed in this hotel in july 2013 and it was great it definetely deserved the tripadvisor award that it won. The rooms were clean and quite large for a vietnamese hotel room. We were warmly welcomed and checked in right away even at 8 am.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help. There was a nice rooftop pool and breakfast was decent. Overall we were very impressed especially considering the low prices we were paying.

The location was great only 5 minutes walk from hoi an center. It was by far the best hotel we stayed in in vietnam!

I prefer a smaller hotel like Vinh Hung 3 than some of the bigger hotels in Hoi An. There are less hotel guests, so the staff can remember your name and preferences for breakfast. Although the buffet breakfast is small, there is a wide selection and a few different dishes every day. This makes a longer stay more tolerable if you don't like the standard American breakfast offered by many other hotels & guest houses in Southeast Asia.

There is no lift or elevator, so those with a mobility issue may have to ask for one of the few rooms behind the reception area and next to the breakfast area on the ground floor. Many of the rooms have windows but these windows open to a small ventilation well with a wall which runs the entire height of the building. Although this design allows for air circulation, you can hear some noise from the rooms below and above if those room windows are open.

All the staff are definitely friendly as mentioned by the other reviewers. The rooftop pool is great during the hot season and the air-conditioner cooled the room adequately. My only complains are the shower pressure is on the low side and there is no ventilation fan in the bathroom.

I will definitely return to Vinh Hung 3.

This is a great place to stay. Near the old city and close to the beach. They have a nice pool at the roof which gives a nice cool in the morning. Breakfast is nice to, fresh with lots of fruit and bananapancakes. Lovely ladies working here, even upgrated our room.

Room Tip: Request a room upstairs, the downstairs room are nice too but located near the breakfast area, (open...

We stayed here in June 2013 for our honeymoon. The staff are incredibly friendly and kept congratulating us which was lovely. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. We had read reviews already so knew not to expect a view so the alley way didnt bother us. The breakfast was the best selection we saw during our whole stay in South East Asia and the omelette station was a lovely touch. The pool was very nice and quiet. We mainly had it to ourselves which was great, however, as it is quite small I could imagine it being a bit cramped if small children are using it. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The fact that the old town is a few minute's walk made everything easily accessible. The only small gripe we'd have is that the hallways are a bit dark and we were staying right outside where the cleaners used to prepare so were woken every morning by them speaking and laughing loudly. It didn't really bother us though as we were up early most days anyway. All in all a great little hotel and excellent value.

We stayed here four nights and it was generally comfortable. Our room was on the second floor at the back with a small balcony. It didn't suffer from traffic noise but noise from people stamping up and down the stairs reverberated through the room. The hotel has no lift. No complimentary water so we made a point of not using any from the mini bar.
Room and bathroom were clean although we had a huge cockroach in the bathroom on the last day there.
Generally a decent stay bit nothing remarkable.

A short stroll from the old town with good amenities. For the price it is a good hotel, breakfast is nice and the staff are friendly. The rooftop pool is a nice feature which we enjoyed during our stay. Would stay here again and definitely recommend to others...
