It's a modern hotel, with free wifi as well as your personal PC in the room. Rooms are spacious too - I took the Superior room but managed to peek into the standard rooms, which looked a decent size. Good location too, it's a 5-8 mins walk to the old town. Staff are all pleasant and friendly. Breakfast is adequate and decent - they vary the local dishes daily. I didn't think the bed was hard though :p

Room Tip: If you don't mind your room without a view (or facing a wall), go for the standard room, would b...

Vinh Hung 3 Hotel is a pleasant 3 star establishment at 96 Ba Thieu St, Hoi An, Vietnam. It is not far from the ‘old town’, less than 10 minutes walk.
Many restaurants and spas/massage nearby.
Reception staff were efficient, prompt and looked happy in their job. English spoken.
Special recommendations to Ms Nhungh, and Ms Hoyo, both are great ambassadors for their hotel. Both are bright, happy, and get transport cheaper than going out into the street.
A moderate-sized swimming pool on the roof with limited number of sun lounges.
Cosy breakfast area. A limited selection of food, with omelette chef.
All staff seem eager to please.
Very modern bathroom facilities. No baths.
Great rooms at back of hotel, with balcony. Ask for ‘superior’ room, rather than pay extra for ‘deluxe’. Very quiet. Best room at top of hotel, ‘deluxe’, no balcony, and no lift, so 4th floor a fair way up by stairs. Firm beds.
Many bicycles available for hire nearby, a great way to see Hoi An.
Hoi An ‘old town’ is a pleasant surprise. Town full of clothes shops/dressmakers/tailors, and very old ladies.

Room Tip: Superior rooms better value than deluxe. Let reception organise transport, cheaper than trying in th...

We treated ourselves to this hotel which was slightly over our ‘backpacker’ budget and didn’t regret it one bit. We had a friendly greeting from the staff on arrival and were shown to our room which was a good size, modern bathroom, tv, wifi etc. There was no view from the window but I didn’t mind this. The reason we stayed here though was the pool on the roof (not having a pool in 3 months travelling). It wasn’t huge, but we often had it all to ourselves and it was a lovely way to cool off and relax after exploring the old town. There was a breakfast buffet with fruit, cakes, eggs etc which was very nice. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the old town, and close to a few bars and restaurants. We booked a tour to My Son and coach tickets through the hotel which were good value, and were able to use the pool and changing rooms after we had checked out before our evening bus. I really enjoyed my stay in Hoi An and this hotel only enhanced it.

We were looking late at night for a hotel the following day. We tried another hotel but they couldn't assit us. The Young lady on reception at Vinh Hung was excpetionally friendly and helpful. In fact all of the staff were frst rate. We were elaving at 4:30 am and they provided us with a breakfast - they also provide very reasonable rates for airport and train station transfers ($16 for 2).

The rooms were basic but clean, adn a good size.I think most have a balcony. The pool was a bonus.

Room Tip: Ask for a back room which is quieter

I ve stayed in Vinh Hung 3 for 1 night only coming from Vinh Hung Resort. We could check out before 2 pm, what was really nice and they even pick us up by motorbike in the other hotel! Ive got a room without window due to the shortness of my stay. Fair enough! The room was big and clean although a bit smelly, no fresh air ! After a while you forget about it! Bed was fine and comfortable and the toillet really clean and big. The staff is kind and always there to help you in everything you need. I think its the same in all places in Hoi An, everyone is nice and kind.
The breakfast is not great but to be fair you cant ask much more for 25 usd: fresh fruit, bread, milk, eggs...
The location of the hotel is superb! 5m walking to the japanese bridge or 10m walking to the market. If you have a tight budget vinh hung 3 is a great choice.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved its location. Its a short walk to Ancient town, many nearby restaurants and stores to shop. Our room is good size, bed a little hard but we slept OK, bathroom has standing shower and very small vanity. One thing I did not like is the very small table/desk which leaves not much space to put miscellaneous things on. They also do not have a heating kettle in the room, and must call front desk to bring you hot water in a thermos for coffee or tea. The service is available 24/7 and bring it to you promptly...still a hassle that you need to call.

Staff is friendly, but they charge when making local phone calls to a local mobile phone ($3 usd) if you use phone in your room; or $2 usd if they make the call for you.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the back with view of the garden to avois street noise.

Location was great...short work to the town...we booked the deluxe room which was at the front with a balcony....room was nicely decorated but being one the first floor n facing the street, we could hear the car and all conversation on the street. So get use to the noise but it does quiet down by 11 so at least you will have a quiet night sleep. Room was clean but water pressure was low in the shower.

We didn't like the breakfast. Small selection n doesn't taste good. We went out for breakfast the second day.
Bed was especially hard even for Vietnam standard
