We stayed here for 5 days and were impressed with the service and the value for money. Believe me if we hadn't thought it the best value (and we looked around) we would have packed our bags and shifted camp. I honestly think that anyone who complains about this place when they are paying under $30 US per night hasn't stayed in "budget" accommodation in lots of other places (including Australia) The rooms were plain but adequate, there was a clean pool, we had air cond, hot running water and a lovely balcony with a view of the paddy fields. I think that the rooms on the other side could be a bit noisy but that didn't worry us. Better access to the internet with more computers and faster connection than lots of more expensive places that we stayed on our trip. Don't think that this place is going to be the Ritz and you won't be disappointed. Love Hoi An!

Checked in here at 6am after yet another uncomfortable 12 hr sleeper bus. Immediately shown to a large double with a balcony overlooking nearby rice paddies and vegetable patches. The room, which was clean as a whistle, had everything except a safe - hot water shower, icy a/c, cable tv, comfy bed and minibar. Downstairs in the spacious lobby there are about 6 internet points, (free to guests, occasionally run on the slow side), a little swimming pool (very welcome after a hot day of touristing) and a small restaurant where you can get breakfast which is included in the room price. The cost: $25.

The helpful receptionist helped us book buses and trains to Hue and Hanoi, as well as booking us onto an excellent tour of the My Son ruins and recommending to us a good tailors if we wanted clothes made (A Dong Silk: the best there is out there in Hoi An and if you don't believe me read the reviews on this website).

Highly recommended to anyone staying in Hue on a backpacker to flashpacker budget.

We decided to stay at Thien Nga hotel after having read good reviews in the TripAdvisor site. However it turned out to be quite disappointing. Although the hotel rooms are pleasant, they are not well maintained, cleanliness is of a poor standard (sheets and towels have this yellowish colour attained after multiple use and cold water washing) and housekeeping could seriously improve. Breakfast is very basic and most of the staff (with a couple of exemptions) is not at all motivated and helpful. The pool is tiny and nothing special really. Not good value for money.

We had a good sized room on the ground floor near the indoor/outdoor pool. Our room was quiet with views out over the neighbouring rice fields and we got to watch the local farmers working each day in the fields. The staff were very friendly and helpful with lots of advice about where to eat and how to get around Hoi An. We were a few blocks from the old town so it was an easy walk to restaurants and sights. You could rent bicycles and motorcycles right outside the hotel and there were great massage/spa centres close by. The breakfast (included) menu was varied and consistently good.

We stayed for 3 days, the room was noisy (there was some work been done on the floor above. Before we took the room we asked how long the work would last and were told by the lady who runs the place that it would be finished the next day but it continued for the 3 days. There was some problems with the hot water, it ran out really quickly so either I or my husband had to have a cold shower. There was a hole in the bathroom wall and ants running on the bed. Breakfast was not great, very little choice, watch out for the banana pancake still runny inside! Internet did not work very well (could only get connection on one computer out of 4). I needed help to find my long lost family near Hoi An, the manager (owner?) was not helpful at all. We moved to Thien Than hotel (please read my post for that hotel) just nearby and it was so much better, breakfast was fantastic, no problems with hot water and amazing service!

Pretty much the best hotel we have stayed in while travelling in South East Asia. Best staff, best room, great location, best value all round. We booked in after reading great reviews on this web site and can only confirm what most people have been saying.

The biggest asset for us was the staff - particularly Thuy - who couldn't have been more helpful without in any way being pushy. We didn't book any tours with the hotel and received no hassle. We got hot water for our own coffee when we wanted without any fuss and at any time of day and night. While staying here we had to fedex two bicycles home and received loads of help and advice from Thuy.

The rooms which match the pictures on the website - are really bright and clean and are cleaned every day with new linen as required. Fresh towels were provided daily as well. There was always ample hot water and good water pressure.

Some reviews have complained about the breakfast - the fact that you have to chose two items from two lists on the menu. We found that this was a sensible approach for a hotel of this size as it avoided waste. It also meant all food was cooked fresh and that you were able to eat what you wanted rather than what was simply there at a buffet. The fruit salad was lovely and the banana pancake one of the best we have tried. The eggs were well cooked and the bread fresh. The Mango shakes were pretty good too. The only suggestion I would make would be to allow you to have tea or coffee seperately but this is an extremely minor gripe.

We only used the pool once but it seemed clean and well maintained and no you couldn't really swim lengths but come on what do you expect for 20-25 usd a night?

Finally the hotel booked flights for us without any fuss even though we kept changing our minds about dates and time.

All in all couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.
