Good breakfast that was included in the price. Room was a bit tiny but special with one glass wall. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Located on a short walk from all the happenings. Only slight minus was a woman with no real smile at the reception.

Stayed for 3 nights here, my room had a great little balcony on it, room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was a little outdated. Buffet breakfast was very good. Staff were excellent and help with all my requirements. Only 5 minutes walk down to all the restaurants/ bars etc. Good value for money.

My husband and I stayed at Hoa Binh Hotel for 3 nights during our four week trip through Vietnam. It was a fine hotel. For the price you can do worse.

Pro:
- Nicely appointed room (it's got style!)
- Good (and reasonably priced) tour of My Son = $8 plus $5 site admission per person for bus there, tour, lunch, boat back, tour of woodcarving village
- Nice staff

Cons:
- Hard bed
- Rooms are smaller than most for the price point
- The comforter had lots of stains and looked like it had not been laundered. Stained (but clean) sheets. Slightly smelly pillow.
- No separate shower area (just a showerhead and a drain in a corner of the bathroom)
- Breakfast was not great (although free)

Although we didn't have problems with the staff ourselves, on the last day we heard the lady at the front desk hasseling another guest for not booking a tour through the hotel. This isn't that unusual for Vietnam, but it is annoying. She was also very insistent when checking out that we right a good review for Tripadvisor (whoops!)

To sum up, a perfectly fine option. Not going to blow your mind.

We really liked it, we had a small but beautiful room (308) that if you go and is empty go for it ! really nice. We liked the breakfast as well, and we thought that the women at the desk were very helpful an nice to us. We felt very welcomed and we thought that has been one of the most nice hotels that we have been around southeast asia. The location is good, right in he middle, so everything is very handy! . The only thing that we didn't like was the Bellboy, as we think he was very pushy and uncouth, very out of place over and over. He is not a great addition to the hotel but besides that, everything is perfect!
