I stayed four nights at the An Huy hotel. The location is quite good -- only a couple of blocks from old town. The deluxe room upstairs is well-furnished, roomy, and has a balcony, but there is no view from said balcony. The rooms have no coffee / tea-making facilities, which was a bit disappointing, and as previous reviewers have noted, you get one cup of coffee for breakfast.
The owner / manager (?) was initially welcoming but then immediately started pitching two tailor shops and various outings, and even pestered me in the next days about why I hadn't gone to her recommended shops -- I found this rather off-putting. The hotel guest book also lists a lot of somewhat annoying rules, like no doing laundry in your room, but fortunately this was not enforced. There was some unexpected grumbling as well when I checked out and asked to pay cash in U.S. dollars, even though cash payment is requested and the room rates are quoted in dollars (who knows how many ATM trips it would take to get that many dong!).
So, while I can recommend the rooms themselves and the location, I was not that happy with the management and would stay elsewhere if I visit Hoi An again.
