This was our 5th trip to Hoi An and once again included 3 dinners in 7 nights at Cargo (we also had 2 at Morning Glory and did the cooking school). I cannot fault this place, great service, super food. Prices are ridiculously cheap compared to the same quality in Melbourne - yes you will find cheaper food in Hoi An but for the flavour, cleanliness and consistency look no further. Generous entrees around $2-$3 a serve, mains $7-8 and desserts just a few dollars. They have a western menu which is great and have been travelling lots and feel like pasta or a parma but also have a fabulous Vietnamese menu. Curry in coconut shell is my favourite as is the pomelo salad. Salt & pepper squid and rare red tuna with wasabi. I could happily eat here every night for 4 weeks and never run out of options, the menu is extensive. Highly advise booking as gone are the days where you can just walk in and grab a table! Upstairs on the deck is lovely. Great homemade icecreams and caramel tart! Make sure you try Morning Glory too.
