“nice place for smaller kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

It was nice idea to keep people inside (airconditioned room) and animals out. My kids loved to feed animals.

“Great place to take kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

Over the holidays we took our whole family to the Arabian Wildlife Center in Sharjah. We did not have time to visit the Natural History Museum but did spend time at the Wildlife Center as well as the Children's petting farm. This visit was the highlight of the visit to Sharjah for our 5 year old niece and 8 year old nephew. They thoroughly enjoyed the zoo where people are on the inside and the animals are on the outside. Since these animals are from this region of the world, the kids saw many new species of snakes, insects, mammals and birds. The facility is very clean and was not crowded at all. After finishing at the zoo, we went next door to the petting farm. They especially enjoyed pulling hay out of a large bag and feeding it to the goats. It is very nice to have a cleanup station for washing little hands as you leave. Great time was had by all!

“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

This morning marked my son and my second visit to the Arabian Wildlife Center, our first visit being back in August to experience the Center itself.

As others have clarified, this is a complex of three sections 1) a Natural History Museum 2) the Wildlife Center and 3) a Childrens Farm. Today we visited the Childrens Farm and it was just wonderful. Not particularly big, but my son (almost 2yo) was delighted - we spent two hours there feeding donkeys, goats, sheep and cows. There are ducks, geese and also horses and camels - for young children this is a lovely experience, although the older children we saw there passed through in under 30 minutes (perhaps not as exciting for children over 5yo?).

Our first visit, last year, was also exceptional. We visited the Wildlife Center and I've recommended it to people ever since. Sympathetic to the environment it exists in, it provides ample room and comfort to both the animals and the visiting public keeping the former in very acceptable enclosures and the latter in the comfort of air-conditioning.

What stands out about this venue is it's cleanliness, its compassion and the high quality of care it gives to the animals it is home to. Also well worth of note is its staff; welcoming, helpful and genuinely friendly, it really is a great place to visit.

Give the Wildlife Centre the better part of an afternoon, the Children's Farm a couple of hours in the morning.

I look forward to taking my son to the museum here once he's a little older.

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014 via mobile

The wildlife centre consists of 3 parts:
In the natural history museum you can learn about the birth of the Earth and live on Earth. It was very quiet although we visited UAE in peak season.
In the children zoo you can feed goats and sheep that is really nice
The wildlife center itself is a big zoo, some part of it is located inside and some part outside that is seen through glass walls.

We really liked it as the place is well organized and the animals are kept in really good conditions.
