we arrived in Dubia airport at 10:30 at night, there were problems with one of our party because he had "British Subject" on his passport so the imigration officials would not let him in. Finally this was resolved but we were well over an hour late to pick up the resort coach.
We approached another coach driver who called the driver of our coach ( who was 50 kms away) who turned round and came back and he did not make us feel in anyway that it was a problem. This set the level of service we recieved all week, the staff were excellent, friendly the rooms were clean and most importantly cool and the food was very good with lots of choices.
We wnet on various trips including the all day guided drive around Dubia, I would really recomend this and if you do get Mahmood as a driver he knows everyone and this means he can take you places other tourists dont see.
The only down side is that it is a long way from the city of Dubia but it would not put us off going again
Overall we has and good holiday in a hotel with great staff , I would recommend.
By the way if you do have problems with "british subject" passport the airline will sponser you initally and then get the local Hilton to do the same for the rest of your trip. If you cant do this just return to the airport at the end of your holiday and they fine you 100 drms a day (apparently this happens a lot)

We stayed at the Hilton in RAK, our first stay in there.
The hotel and staff are fantastic, they cannot do enough for you.
The food was excellent, and there was always a very good choice of food on offer, something for everyone.
the beach club was great and the cafe there served very good food, sometimes had a wait if it was busy, but not too long.
The room was very very clean and modern, just what you'd expect from the hilton group.
We are definately going to go again, but i will warn people the hotel is 75% German guests, and as always, some of them are just so rude and arrogant, if you can rise above that, which i did, then you'll have a fab time.
There is ALWAYS plenty of loungers and shades at the beach club, but the hotel pool area, while very good, can get busy, and there is the usual towels on certain beds by certain people, seems they have it inbred into them!!
BUT IF YOU'VE BOOKED THIS HOTEL YOU SHOULD HAVE A VERY GOOD TIME!!!

the hilton ras alkahimah was lovely especially the staff are very friendly and special thanks to cathy she works very had.this the best place for holidays.

We stayed at the Hilton RAK in May for 10 days. I was a little dubious about Ras Al Khaimah as we have stayed in Dubai several times and really did no know what to expect of this location. However we were not disappointed. We arrived early morning and did not expect to get access to our rooms until 2pm however to our surprise they were ready on our arrival which was a real bonus. One thing we were told by several travel agents was that the transfer time from Dubai to RAK was 45 minutes with the new highway, however it was nearer an hour and thirty minutes and the driver was not taking it slowly.
We stayed on the AI basis which was very good value, the meals are taken in the main Al Khor restaurant in the hotel which is buffet style and had different themes each evening, you can take lunch at the beach club which is excellent, you can choose from buffet or full menu which includes everything from toasted sandwiches to lobster and jumbo prawns. You can also eat in the a la carte restaurant in the evening and you are given an allowance towards your meal but the drinks are still included. We ate there one evening and for 4 adults and 1 child it cost us an additonal £15 which was well worth it.
The Havana bar is a nice place for cocktails in the evening, Juan the barman and Chona the waitress are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. In fact one of the main reasons that we had such a great holiday was the staff, they were all fantastic and did everything to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
There are shops/souks very near by but not on the scale of dubai. They do free transfers into dubai a couple of times a week which were very popular so you need to book in advance.
If you want a relaxing holiday I would definitely recommend this hotel and location.
