Went to this place in May 09, with my family. Stayed at the RAK vilas on all inlcusive, got very good deal, villas are excellent, got upgraded to a sea view by just asking at check in, i would recommend this hotel to any one with a budget, the villas are 5 star, very clean, service is excellent, Ayman made are holiday very good, he made sure everything was to our requirements. The agent i booked it with assured me what i would get and i cant fault his service, what he said is what we got. i booked this holiday with Value Added Travel bloke name Jake, trust me i been to dubai about 7 times and this was my first time with the family outside Dubai, did not feel it at all, beautiful beach, love clear sand and very less humidity, looking to go again in August!!!!!!!!!!!!! ps they also have this BE EXCLUSIVE deal, where you buy vouchers for 499 AED, you get to golf, cruise, dinner etc that will keep any1 busy for the week........

After having read the reviews here ( we always do before we go anywhere now) we went wondering just what it would be like many spoke of the tired decor and as we have found over the years peoples opinions of what is acceptable and what is not can differ greatly to our own.I have to admit to being an avid bargain hunter who still expects hopes for the best so when we booked it we booked it more on account of an offer that fitted our budget for a short break only a few hours drive from where we live.

However I would go with what everyone seems to say the hospitality of the staff and the attention was incredible, even the waiting staff had a fab memory daily and each morning had our drinks waiting even though it was a buffet andi have 3 kids 2 younger ones and one well erhem teenager who likes to have her say ...lol They were still fab adn accomodating agreeing to cook her something different on the seafood night as the whole family but her wanted the seafood buffet ....amazing if you ask me everyone down to the chamber maids we soo nice eager to please i could have spent a fortune in tips.

I should add initally because we had asked if they had interconnecting rooms what they gave us didn't fit what we ordered , we questioned it and they came and showed us what they had to offer and what they did offer us was amazing and to be honest people speaking of tired decor ,in the uk i have paid more for a lot worse, in fact apart from teh dated bathroom sweet ( which still wasnt bad really ) it was very nice.

Living in abu dhabi we are used to expensive so we were very surprised to find the pool side drinks and room service and cafe sheesha service all charged to our room i might add with no qaulms we spent no more than we would in a weekend at home in abu dhabi and we didnt have the luxury of a pool and being served with such enthusiasm. We didnt go to explore Ras al Khaimah , just a break from teh break kneck pace of life here and it fit the bill exactly even our teenager daughter was hapy to sit at the sheesha bar and have a drink the snacks were excellently priced there too no more than what we would pay in any cafe or restraunt around abu dhabi, so i cannot recommend this place enough for very reasonable prices, very nice rooms, i tend to hate hotels a necessary evil of having to share everyones private lives in your faces when all you want to do is rest so again i wasnt looking forward to night times etc but it was really quiet even though it was almost full and a night club was across the road we remained undisturbed....very very pleased is alli can say.

The kind of hotel where you can go solo or with your entire family. The pool is big and clean, the food is excellent, great connectivity as it is in a central location. The hotel is perfect for both leisure and business travellers. The staff is exceptionally cordial and prompt.

Stayed in April for 10 days in the Hilton with my wife and young daughter and had a great time. The staff was so great and the service really outstanding and extremly attentive!

The hotel is about 30 years old but everything is fine, clean and in really good condition.

The room we had was spacious and very clean but the decor and furnitures were not so modern and looked a bit outdated compared to all the new and stylish hotel that were build the past 5-10 years in the emirates.

We stayed bed & breakfast only - the buffet was great and the staff in the restaurant extremly attendive and friendly. I stayed in about 20 different Hiltons worldwide and the breakfast was as good as in any other Hilton with an additional children corner were the smaller ones picked up some french fries, sliced fruits or ice cream - great idea!

The pool is nice and has a very relaxing atmosphere - but not so big. So we used the free bus transfer to the other Hilton at the Beach. This hotel is absolutely great but extremly straggly. It reminded me of one stay in Egypt 10 years ago were I was spending my whole vacation in a 1200 bed hotel. The bus shuttle was fine and heading every 60 minuts from hotel to hotel but on some days the bus was too small for all passengers what means a lot of people had to stay inside the travel coach or even on one day we had to wait foe the next bus - that wasn't so nice.

The beach is nice and you have enough space. The prices at the Beach Hilton are on the upper scale what means a can coke light costs about 4,5 EUR and a beer about 6 EUR, a Pizza slice (!) at the beach bar 10 EUR. I can highly recommend to buy some beer at the arrival duty free in Dubai. I bought 12 cans for 10 EUR.

I'm not a big eater in the daytime what means that a healthy breakfast is enough for me. If you enjoy drinking a lot and like to eat the whole day than going all inclusive is definetly recommendable.

We had a dinner almost every day in the hotel - we tried the buffet 2 times, it's okay. Much more better but a bit pricy is the Hoof&Fin Restaurant. They prepare great food and the seafood themed night every Friday is a highlight.

Drinks in the City Hilton are about 20% cheaper than in the Beach Hilton. They also had a great selection of different wines with a fair price structure beginning at about 20 EUR per bottle.

The Havanna Bar in the Hotel is the only attraction for the evening. 5 days a columbian week a live band is playing there, ghey did a great job. A pitty that the bar wasnt so crowded. Other activities for the evening or nighttime are hard to find. The Lobby Bar is very quiet and closing after Dinner and the nightclub 100 meters in front of the hotel called Stallion was empty every night. So if you are in favour of having a huge selection for hanging out the City Hilton just offers the Havanna Bar which is extremly nice but becoming a bit boring if this is the only attraction. Behind the pool area is a nice Shisha bar where you can sip some drinks while spotting the small skyline from RAK.

Regarding the shopping options it's not comparable to Abu Dhabi or Dubai. The Mahar Mall is nice but not so big. The Safeer Mall is woth a visit and growing mont by month - we found some great bargains there.

The hotel has a small casino inside, a pharmacy, jewellery and a very small fitness center.

Last but not least: Would we come back? Yes - but not for 14 days. 5-10 days are enough due to the limited entertainment options after daytime.
